SuperWaves
Hi, a couple of days ago there was some brief discussion on making Super Saw like samples in Audacity.
Here are my superWaves, made with slightly detuned saw, square or sine waves, plus some set 1 or 2 octaves down and a low freq sine wave to give more 'body'. In total 13 oscillators (eat that Roland!).
The stereo effect was done by setting the individual waves with different Pan settings.
If you are planning to make your own, one trick to avoid some 'periodic' artifacts is to have the waves a bit out of phase.
Of the three, the superSine seems to be the least useful, but mixed in small doses with a bright piano makes an interesting background effect.
I included the ns2p files where the fat effect is further increased via the unison, chorus and delay.
Enjoy.
New: The demo shows the sound raw, with effects and effects+modulated LPF.

Re: SuperWaves
The demo sounds awesome!
However, on my electro the samples sound not so good... I'm guessing you have som nord stage magic going on with filters and stuff. (I'm feeling a bit stupid for even trying, now that I realized this)
Anyway, good work!!

Re: SuperWaves
Yes there is a bit of filtering, effects and equaliser too. I guess that they make a difference.

Re: SuperWaves
WOW!! Very nice indeed! And how fitting after Hanon's name started coming up in another thread!
and btw, I haven't loaded them into my NS2 yet, but your super sine might make a really nice reggae organ bubbler, possibly even bass with some backing off of f/x and eq adjust
THANX!

Re: SuperWaves
I added (above) a new "super triangle" wave for completeness, as I just learned how to also create triangle waves in Audacity. Obviously the best ones are still those with lots of harmonics. Enjoy!
