ORCHESTRAL MIX SOUND
Hi everyone.
I started to do some gigs just with my NS2 and left computer home.....
I used some orchestral mix sounds , but nord orchestral mix wasn't what I needed.
so , I decided to sample the orchestral mix I did on Mainstage (Logic's application for live) for previous gigs , and to carry this sound with me on my NS2
I did a combination of 5 , 6 instruments....
I founded it very usefull during gigs.....a....bread and butter orchestra....
hope you enjoy....to do the mp3 demo I slowed the attack , but with zero attack you can play fast parts as well.
I took so much sounds from this forum....time to give back
let me know what you think

Re: ORCHESTRAL MIX SOUND
Not bad, just a remark: I think you should remap the samples 1 octave higher

Re: ORCHESTRAL MIX SOUND
To me it sounds like an orchestra with a church organ on the pedals. If you have used any horn-like sound, try putting it 1 octave higher.

Re: ORCHESTRAL MIX SOUND
Hi,
Sounds pretty cool. How what was your method for recording the sample? I have mainstage as well. I want to start creating some samples from that and other keyboards, but I am a little fuzzy on the best way to go about recording/mapping a sample.
If you have a minute to outline your process that would be great!
Thanks!

Re: ORCHESTRAL MIX SOUND
Hi DM.
actually was my first attempt to sample something..... I recorded notes every 4th..... C F Bb Eb ecc..... I recorded for about 3,4 seconds each sound....
I have a 1814 M audio soundcard and a power PC g4. I set the mainstage's output on the pc's built in output (headphone output) , plug with a cable into the m audio and record into logic. (all in the same computer then bounce each note in wav format , naming it C2 , F2 , Bb2 , Eb3 ecc...
if you name notes this way , nord sample manager will automatically map each note at the right place. (it should happen with note numbers as well , but with me didn't work...don't know why..
hope it helps
