Hi!
(Maybe this question has been raised before, but whatever)
I really need good layered piano/pad and piano/strings samples for the NE3.
Like the one that the guy uses in this video:
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: Piano/pad and piano/strings
Yeah layered Piano Pad/Strings have been high on demand (see e.g., this Poll: http://www.norduserforum.com/nord-user- ... t2304.html).
Here are two samples posted here with Strings/Piano: http://www.norduserforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1906 and http://www.norduserforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=958.
Cheers

Re: Piano/pad and piano/strings
Thanks for the answers guys!
What about the quality of these samples, playing them from a Nord Electro 3 HP (which i'm thinking of buying)?
Are they satisfying? What about the velocity... is possible to play them "soft"?
Thanks.

Re: Piano/pad and piano/strings
Since the Nord sample editor doesn't offer velocity switch / vel layer functionality you'll end up with a fixed velocity sample.
The only way to recreate velocity is to use the amp env vel and filter vel function which is actually the death blow to an accoustic piano sound.
Furthermore in a sampled layer-sound both fractions will be affected simultanously by any post processing which is definitely unwelcome.
So if authentic piano/string layer sounds are essential to you the NE is probably not the instrument you would want.
I have a NS2 which offers layer sound of all kinds. But to be honest an external sound module enrichs the Nord sound with an additional different sound character.
So I once bought a used XV-2020 (by Roland) which is really cheap and offers pots of high quality string pad and trombone pad sounds.
This would also be a very good addition for the NE imho.
