Is there any news about the SONG MODE?
I hope they will bring it in an update ...

NS4 MIDI Program Change Chart V2.pdf

To overcome the lack of song mode, I have connected my NS4 to my iPAD with a CME WIDI jack and have started adding program changes to all my charts in Onsong. I created a MIDI program change chart for to help with the task, which helped until I realized that Onsong has a MIDI listen mode, so now just click on the song title to open the MIDI control, click listen and then press the Program button on the NS4.

In Onsong, have you managed to create multiple sounds for a song ? E.g if you have 4 different sounds to a specific song.

In my case it would be a solution if the sound change could be mapped to a midiboard - then it would be easy to change the sounds live.

Yes I can have multiple program changes in one song in Onsong. In edit mode, I add section headers i.e. PROGRAM CHANGE (H11): at the start of the song and wherever I want the program changes to occur and click save. I click on the Section Header and click "Learn" and select the program on the NS4 which sends the program change and click Save. Whenever I click on the sections or the Play Icon reaches the section in Play Mode, the NS4 changes program.

Depending on your pedal board, you should be able to send program changes the same way.

As an aside, I do find that with the 7 voices of the NS4, I am needing less programs then I did with the NS3, though.

For me, the current organization would be fine if only I could name each set of eight buttons. Then I could scroll through a list to the appropriate set of programs. (...)

Sorry everyone, if this has been addressed before, but I don't think so!
But something that fell into my eye is that this exactly has happened with the panel layout 2.0 (see also nord-stage-forum-f3/ns4-panel-versions- ... 23569.html)

Under the STORE-button you get that PAGE NAME. My guess is that this is the solution we'll get here. You can name a page of 8 programs and then place your programs for intro, verse, chorus etc. inside of that page.
Unfortunately I can not see, if this is already implemented, as my NS4 is currently in repair.

Also nobody has said anything about functional differences between panel layout 1.X and 2.0.

Thanks for posting. Though it will still require creating multiple similar programs where Song Mode allows multiple songs to point to the same program, at least this latest change is a step in the right direction.

To my understanding, that’s not possible yet. It has to be implemented in the firmware and in Nord Sound Manager, as well.
Also it is interesting, how the ORGANIZE function on NS4 is gonna work.
It seems logical you’ll be able to push these „bundles“ of 1 page / 8 programs as a whole in order to change the setlist and to keep a program that you use for the verse or chorus always on the same position of these 8 program buttons.

I am counting on a firmware update soon, but I do not have any info…

Hello, I think there is a possibility to create a setlist „light“ by chosing fitting names for programs of the setlist.
For example:
-01 program 1
-02 program 2
-03a program 3a
-03b program 3b
etc.
If you use now the LIST view of the PROGRAM dial, you have the option Abc (alphanumeric) and your setlist will appear in the desired sequence without changing program places.
For me this is a acceptable compromise.
