NS4 Panel Versions 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2

I recently bought the NS4 73 from Guitar Center and it’s the 2.0 and not the 2.1
Am I missing out on any improvements besides the gray sliders?

There are no "improvements" in panel revisions per say. Several markings have been added to relay a change of verbage/function which is available in all versions of the Stage 4.

The largest change is the Follow Focus button being removed. The feature is now active by default and if you want to change several effects at once you group them using the group fx button

One thing that annoys me is that there is a “close” function in RevB for leslie model - ok RevA it’s still global - I think at least the setting could be saved per patch even if there is no physical button for it..

+1 MartinJ2EX for missing “close” function button on older panel versions. It could be done with the Leslie on/off button and status shown on Display.
Or does this function in a similar way and I have not seen it (OS 1.22)?

btw: I can’t believe it. We have to wait 4 or 5 years for the stage 4 and then we see 5 panel versions in the first year since first release.

I just bought one, and the shop told me they had just received it about 2 weeks ago. I have not compared the panel to this thread yet though. I will try to do that soon.
One thing I did notice is that all the slider caps are gray instead of black. I know the NW2 had a problem with the slider caps cracking...did that happen on the NS4 too? Maybe that's why they changed them?

EDIT: I see someone already mentioned this on the previous page. Mine is v2.1 rev B. It looks like this change happened around the end of 2023.

I can't speak for soundxplorer, but I bought my Nord Stage 4 Compact v2.1 Rev B on 6 February in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Got mine 1.3 version a year ago. Would be helpful if Nord made an addendum to the user manual where they summarized the implications (how to access new features on earlier version panels, why renaming from SECTION to GROUP etc) for earlier panel versions.

Does the "Page Name" sub feature do anything? This is a new arrival on the most recent version and some have speculated that it MIGHT be a way to get back some of the missing Song capabilities, if there's a way to add a name to each Page. The current version of the NS4 manual shows the "Page Name" in their graphics, though it is not mentioned or explained as far as I can tell. I would be curious if someone with this latest version can find any kind of Page naming functions, or if Nord is saving this for a future OS update.
