Hello - I apologize if this isn’t the correct specific forum for this question, but I’m planning to purchase a Grand 2, and I have a question about MIDI usage. I also apologize if this question betrays my ignorance - I haven’t used Nords before, as I’ve been exclusively an acoustic pianist up until now.
My most common workflow will be improvising on the Nord into Logic Pro, and then making minor edits (fixing wrong notes, shifting certain passages up/down an octave, etc.) in the MIDI editor of Logic Pro. If I choose a Nord sample on the Grand, how will I use that same sample in Logic when making MIDI edits and outputting a final recording? Are Nord samples available in formats other than .nsmp? Are .nsmp samples usable in Logic?
Thanks to all - I’ve done a lot of lurking and reading on related topics in this board, but I hadn’t found the answer to this exact question.

Part of the Nord piano sounds have been created by Sampletekk and can be purchased in a similar shape for computer use - but that's it. Nord's famous piano sounds themselves cannot be used outside the Nord hardware.
To access Nord sounds from your computer, you play a MIDI file from your computer into the Nord and record the (analog) audio output back into the computer.

Re: Using Nord samples in Logic Pro
Hello and welcome to NUF,
you cannot use Nord samples directly in Logic, they are proprietary and can only be loaded in compatible Nord keyboards
So you have to do what you normally do with a keyboard (with or without samples on board) and a DAW: record both MIDI + Audio from the keyboard (the NG2 in this case) and if you edit MIDI on the DAW you have to play the track back to the keyboard to record the new Audio.
EDIT: FZiegler was just faster

FZiegler and maxpiano, thank you both for your responses. Your different choices of wording helped to shed more light on the topic for me, and I appreciate your thoughts.
