Re: Nord Stage 4 OS v1.32 released
I think the drawbar SYNC function in the organ section doesn't work anymore as it should.
I'm using this from time to time, but now the LED drawbars jump on a random position or not at all, but not to the physical position of the drawbars.
Perhaps someone can confirm this, or someone still on 1.24 can check the behaviour there. Thanks!

Just tried on different patches and works as expected. Do you have morphs assigned?

Thanks for checking!MartinJ2EX wrote: ↑21 Jun 2024, 19:45Just tried on different patches and works as expected. Do you have morphs assigned?
No, there is no morphing active.
Here is a short video demonstration. I have chosen a program while all drawbars were fully out. When holding SNYC the LEDs should jump to the physical position = 888888888. But they always jump at 888103210, no matter what the "real" drawbars are positioned.
EDIT:
I have reinstalled OK v.1.24 and SYNC was OK, then 1.30 as well, and finally 1.32 again - and at first SYNC worked as it should.
But my Triple Pedal 1 wasn't auto-detected (instant sustain), so I changed the pedal settings. After that, SYNC again worked weirdly/wrong.
I was not able to reproduce why SYNC was OK at first. I will report it to Clavia.

I also reported this to Nord and got this answer today:Nordlicht wrote: ↑21 Jun 2024, 20:47

This has been reproduced here and will be fixed with a new OS release shortly.
For some additional detail: The Preset gets wrong drawbar values, unless non-Preset mode (drawbars unlit) has been entered and adjustments have been made there.

Re: Stage 4 OS 1.30 firmware released
Can you install the Factory reset to 1.22 using this URL?Schorsch wrote: ↑19 Jun 2024, 11:31Hi,
it used to be possible to download old OS versions in the past with OS versions from other Nords, by just modifying the download link with the version number of the desired version, but I just tried this for the Stage 4 OS versions as well for the Stage 3 OS versions and it does not work anymore after they renewed their website
They don't offer an archive too, and the internet archive / wayback machine seems not to have captured this .... there might be someone here who saved v1.24 and can provide it to you though
https://assets.nordkeyboards.com/nord-a ... v1.22.ns4b
Then upgrade to 1.24 using attached file?

Re: Stage 4 OS 1.34 firmware released
V1.40 (2024-07-03)
Windows updater is now bundled with installer for Nord Keyboards USB Driver v4.x. This adds compatibility with Windows systems where the Core Isolation security feature is turned on.
Added a new Global option in addition to the Program Specific setting, in Output menu.
In Global mode the Bus routing is inactive, and Sections/Layers are assigned directly to outputs.
Program Specific mode functions as previously, where Bus to Output assignments (Main, Sub I-III) are set globally and Section/Layer to Bus assignments are stored per Program.Fixed issue where Extern Layers would play outside of splitpoint, with Split XFade turned On
Fixed issue where Aux KB Layers played back with full level throughout entire Split XFade zone
Drawbar Sync did not fully function (introduced with v1.30). Fixed
MIDI CC was not sent by Rotor pedal or Sustped set to Rotor (introduced with v1.30). Fixed
Prog View 2 (focused Layers shown) did not show Organ B when focused (introduced with v1.30). Fixed
An “E” (indicating edits having been made) would briefly show up when browsing Presets. Fixed

Re: Stage 4 OS 1.40 firmware released
Öhm...
Maybe I hallucinating, but - just after a few hours from the latest revision - I just saw a new Stage4 Firmware Update on the Nord Page again...
Rev 1.42 - 2024_07_04 (i. e. today)
https://www.nordkeyboards.com/products/ ... llToTabs=1
Note: Fixed issue present in v1.40 where browsing the Preset Library under certain circumstances could cause instrument to freeze.
Looks like here is really someone working hard on fixing issues...

Re: Stage 4 OS 1.42 firmware released
Since they have now brought back the “global routing” function for output, fingers crossed that they will bring global and per program MIDI channels back like in Stage 2!!

Re: Stage 4 OS 1.42 firmware released
Hey everyone,
I think this came with OS 1.42.. - not completely sure!
I use the 3 synth sections of the NS4 as a three-part drum machine, using samples of a bass drum, snare drum and high-hat (or even a programmed synth).
Which is awesome, you should try that
Usually the arp started the moment I touched the first key - and it started with the beginning of the arp - counting time 1.
Recently that changed and it just starts randomly somewhere for me to find counting time 1! I don't know why!
This is an example programm (Linkin Park - Papercut) - just for fun. Here's the reference video
Linkin Park - Papercut
Do you get the same result? When I programmed this, the beat startet exactly at the beginning - how it should be. Now it's just kind of messy.
Maybe someone can help me? Is there a certain setting or is this a bug?
You want an arp to start at the beginning, right?!
