Hi,
I have my Nord stage 4 in stereo into a QSC CP8 and a Headrush 108 on stands.
The Nord Stage 4 pianos sound a bit harsh and thin with this setup.
When I play through my headphones - Sennheiser HD 599 they sound lovely, more mellow and rounded.
What changes could I make to my amplified setup so it sounds closer to the headphones?
Thanks for your advice.

comment on PA speakers
PA speakers usually have different EQ curves suitable for live venues.
Your headphones probably have a more flat / HiFi EQ curve, they are “transparent”.
Studio Monitors would be best for a clean and detailed sound and they are not as expensive as your speakers
I have Yamaha HS-7’s and they are perfect!

Also, having two powered speakers that are different is far from ideal. The Headrush is made for guitars, not keyboards, especially piano reproduction-

Re: comment on PA speakers
I agree with MartinJ2EX... PA speakers will sound radically different... here I have Focal monitors that sound almost similar to my headphones (DT 770 pro), and HK speakers that sound totally different... and for the sounds I plan to use live, I always tweak them (EQ, reverb, etc.) based on the HK sound... because it will be closer to what I will have on stage...MartinJ2EX wrote: ↑20 Sep 2024, 18:01 PA speakers usually have different EQ curves suitable for live venues.
