Store Program failed! Write Error

Post by kranky »

Hello Comunity,

most recently, I have an error on my NE6D. It´s all a little weird but I try to explain it as good as I can....

- I create a new sound on an slot, that´s name is "<emtpy>" (and it is in fact empty). When I want to story it, without giving it a new name, it says "Store Program failed! Write Error". Same things, when I make some changes and then want to save it.
- Funny however, if I ignore the the error and press again "store" it stores the new settings right.
- When I give the programm a new name, and store it on the same slot, it doesn´t take the new name. It stays as "<emtpy>". Funny thing, however on the Nord Sound Manager, the program name IS changed.
- Even when I change the name on the Nord Sound Manager, it will not show it correctly on the nord electro, it stays the same name.
- Same thing happens, when I want to save an <emtpy> programm over another location, that has already a name
- When I want to store a already named progamm on a new <empty> slot, it works, but it takes the name "<empty>". Normally a programm like "Narcotic" then is stored as "Narcotic 2". Here, it´s stored as <empty>, but with the correct settings. Even though it says "store as Narcotic 2", it doesnt really store it like that.
- When I store "Narcotic" over "Organ", the programm IS stored correctly as "Narcotic 2".

So, there is some problems with storing and editing slots that are named <empty>. But really often, you want to create new programs from scratch on an <empty> slot.

The problem came out of nothing and it´s pretty annoying because especially in rehearsal settings, where you just want to save quickly a lot of sounds and you are progamming "on air", you get lost, because everything is named "<empty>". Ok, you can make some work around over the problems, but that is really frustrating, since the qick storing, copying, renaming - organization is one of the best thing of the nord electro. And it allready worked perfectly fine, so be a reason why the problem came up.

I have no idea, what´s the problem, since it´s so "diffuse". Any help is highly appreciated!!

EDIT: I have cleared ALL Programms in Nord Sound Manager. Now everything works completely fine. When i store an "<emtpy>" programm , it will stored as "unnamed". When i copy it to a new <empty> slot, it will be named "unnamed 2" as it should be. No Writing Errors.

Many Thanks,
Michael
