Nord Piano 5 and Yamaha FC7 idiots guide
Hello. I'm a new owner of the NP5 (and new to this forum) and cannot get my vol pedal to work (the pedal functions fine with my Motif). I've read and reread the manual and looked for help online - is there a video/idiot's guide for absolute beginners anywhere? I wanted to use the pedal with F14 Program (Slow String Pad) but couldn't get it to work with that or any other sound. I'm sure its my ignorance but if anyone else has had a slow start with the all important vol pedal I'd be grateful to hear from you. Many thanks

Maybe some are dumb questions but anyway:
- where did you connect the FC7 to?
- what did you set in the menu as Pedal Type?
- what did you set in the menu for Pedal Gain?
- what did you set in the menu for Control Pedal Function?
and the eventually most likely one:
- did you enable VolPed for the layer(s) you want to control the volume for with the FC7?

Mmh. You don't explain what you already tried - besides reading the manual. Would help to give you an advice.
Did you already select the correct control pedal type and function in the settings (p. 23 in the manual)? And did you enable it in that program for the desired engine (Shift+Touch for the piano engine or Shift+Dynamics for the synth engine according to the menu, maybe Shift-DynComp instead for the piano engine)?
Well, Schorsch was faster...
