I just upgraded my Electro6 for a Stage4 Compact and am learning how to download programs from this forum. Sometimes the Sound Manager will convert programs to the Stage 4 requirements, but sometimes they won't, and I can't access them from my downloads file on my PC. I'd really like to get the Just What I Needed program in a stage 4 format, or advice on how to convert from 2 or 3 to 4. Thanks!

The sound manager does not convert programs from one Nord generation to the next, it only manages samples (and allows you to organize the location of patches/programs).

You cannot convert from 2 or 3 to 4, there is no utility that will do that. What you can do, if the program uses a sample (and the sample is available) is load the sample on the stage 4 and recreate the rest of the sound using the synth controls with that sample.

However, for the "just what I needed" sound, you can do that with the built in synth engine without the need for samples.

here is a tutorial for the Stage 3 that you can adapt to the Stage 4.
