Nord Stage 3 Compact - MIDI in is Not working

Hi,

Out of the Blue my NS3 does not receive any MIDI Signals anymore (the red LED) is also Not Showing anything. I have used the Same cable with a different Keyboard and it worked.
The MIDI out still works.

I have Not Changed any settings at least That I‘m Aware of.

Assuming the MIDI Port is defect, I opened up the NS, but I was not able to spot any defect on the port itself.

Can anybody help on this problem? Thank you!

Check and maybe report here all your NS3 MIDI settings, from Global Channel onwards

It is unclear if this is the standard MIDI connection or the USB MIDI port.
Something you can check (now that you can confirm the cable is OK and that MIDI out is also OK) is to set the instrument "local off" and loop the standard MIDI out to the MIDI in. If you hear any sounds, then MIDI in is working.

The above did not work, which is obvious to me I did the same check with a masterkeyboard and it failed.

What do you mean by USB or MIDI? I'm not aware that I have different setup for MIDI based on the input Midi in or USB?

The problem is Panel A and Dual KBbbeing on CH 1 which is same as Global, the conflict (indicated by the parentheses) disables CH1 overall.

Change Panel A and Dual KB channel to a different value and you'll be OK.

On which channel is the External master transmitting?

I have used all channels, but the Nord Stage 3 does not even show a signal by flashing the LED. Again, I have tested it with a different keyboard and it worked out perfectly, I was able to play with the masterkeyboard a different keyboard easily. Further, this worked for several years but all of a sudden without changing the settings, MIDI is not working anymore.

OK, I was just trying to exclude any other (software) option, if so you need to take it to service (unless you have the DYI skills to check yourself if maybe it is just the MIDI IN connector needing some resoldering)
