You're gonna want the organ waterfall keybed, and no-one wants that on a Stage.

And indeed...I'm wondering just how much use the organ even gets for committed or professional Stage users. One could make the argument that future Stage models should dispense with it entirely, and focus on increasing the synth features and interactivity with tablets. Leave the jack-of-all-trades to the Electro. If you are playing a Stage in a touring band and have a regular need for organ, you probably are already using a dedicated board for it.
I own an SK Pro 73 that I pair with a MODX for a lot of gigs. When I subbed a backlined NS3 in as my bottom board last year, I kept the MODX (moved it up top for pads) and put the SK Pro away, because the organs in the NS3 fit the mix we had really well, and I find it invaluable to have a nice organ layered with my pianos and such for certain songs, without having to layer multiple boards via midi. I was just editing some gig footage tonight and was pleasantly surprised at how good the NS3 sounded. Same with the NS3 at my last church - that organ got used a lot, even when I could have brought my SK, simply because it sounded good enough that the convenience factor won out. I would hate to see the organ leave the Stage series, because that's honestly a core part of what makes it a versatile instrument for a lot of people!

Please stop extrapolating your own experience onto the market. You’ve shown time and again that you have very little idea of, or interest in, how actual musicians make their money.

Oh HELL no.

“Jack of all trades” is what the Stage is built to be — an all-round stage instrument.

The electro is literally just a useful bundle of electromechanical keyboards. It’s in the name.

Funnily enough, the only time I use the piano section of my NS3 compact is if its the only keyboard I take to a gig (which is rarely). I use the organ and synth section almost exclusively, and had an alexis QS8.2 (Just replaced with a Nord Piano 5) weighted keyboard for piano/rhodes/wurlitzer sounds.

In my opinion removing the organ section from the Stage series would be a huge mis-step.

I admit I am lacking experience about Nord Organ history (and I am lazy to find out) but can somebody more competent say what's new here? Is it mainly Organ and Leslie engine? If so this is mostly matter faith at the moment.

The newish bits are the ones that say "greatly enhanced", "added", "new", "refined", "reworked", "brand new", and "vastly improved".

Tact is my middle name. :keyboard:
(also, you should have seen what I *originally* wrote, and thought better of.

FWIW, I've been playing waterfall Stages for ten years, now. Because I wanted a 10-kg organ and synth with built-in FX that offered a keybed compromise that still allows me to play great pianos.

Jaded Nord fans: Oh we'll probably get the NE7, if we're lucky. Nord aren't what they used to be. Dead company. Move on.

Nord: Hold my pint!

At this point I wonder if companies are now using IR to capture the "Leslie sound". Seems like IR is the direction many digital effects companies are going nowadays. Viscount and Nord, and possibly Roland are all releasing new clonewheels. I have to wonder how good / how close to "100%" the latest emulations are sounding (yes ..."it'll never by the same as moving air"). It seems though that companies that don't make or sell a "Leslie speaker" of any type put the best effort into their Leslie emulations. Nord, how close are you getting with this latest emulation?

Sorry maybe a dumb question but what do you mean by IR?
