Stage 4......Aftertouch is unusable..needs to be more sensitive to finger pressure. There is no conistancy along the keyboard, some notes are worse than others.
Need to excerpt so much pressure to trigger it..will end up breaking a key or a finger
..or is it just me?
Richard.

Re: After touch
I'm on a NS4C and I find the aftertouch implementation just about right for me, in that I have to press a bit to make the foam sensor strip underneath engage. Great for firing off an emphasis effect -- like vibrato or leslie w/added grunge.
I think you're expecting a continuous, flowing response to finger pressure, which I would find annoying. Since I have strong piano hands, the last thing I want is AT firing off when I don't want it to. I use other controllers (wheel, pedal) when I want a more continuous effect.
You are quite unlikely to break a key -- or a finger

Re: After touch
"Handmade in Sweden" means, that there can be single differences... Mine ist okay for me and nunaced to use, without unwanted triggering... You should try another NS4 anywhere to figure out, if this is subjective with your one or a generel feature, that seems not to fit to you... But maybe it´s just a defect... Compare it...

Re: After touch
Well... In the end it is still again a very subjective thing...
As long as it is not so heavy to press as my old FantomX6 or A-800 and not that early as my old Akai Masterkey (cannot remember the Model), I can train working with it... For me the NS4xxHA is okay, what surely does not work for other Players...
