For the fifth time I have been into the S3C73 to fix/adjust the pitchstick.Tightening the four fasteners fixed my calibration issue, boots up normal.Third pitchstick is two years old and has been 'adjusted' three times.Basically every eight months it works lose!
This JX8P is forty and NEVER had an issue.Same with this DX7! Wheels work like brand new 41 years later.
Nord pitchstick is a joke,an expensive joke,

JX8P and DX7 use a normal pots, which normally can take hundred thousands of cycles; Nord pitchstick instead is a strain gauge glued on a piece of metal (to have a more precise detection and with no missing sensitivity around 0 as pot-based ones do) and so more "delicate"... see also this thread if you like viewtopic.php?t=20404

Hi, I'm having the same problem on my nord stage 3 88 key, was playing and then everything detuned and I got the calibration error message.
When you say you tightened the fasteners where are these and what do they look like?

Thanks

Waited to use the pitchstick for an outing or two before responding.Still works on boot up normal with all bends calibrated correctly.
There are twelve external modules in midi so this function must work as intended. All normal 25 hours in to the adjustments.

The four machine nutbolts securing the wooden pitch device just plain work loose.Would suggest Loctite 'light' however that might be a mistake?
Retain the nut with socket while tightening the through bolt.Reattach ribbon cables.Button it up.

The Harley Davidson dealer in Kamloops rode a Suzuki Intruder 1500 V Twin. After wrenching all day just wanted to cruise home.

My one NS3 is always in the house, so I've never had any problems with the pitchstick.
Unfortunately, the pitch sticks don't tolerate moisture on the one I'm on tour with ... sometimes in the cold outside then heat etc. .

As soon as some rust appeared on the sheet metal, the sensor also decalibrated - after 6 months it could only be fixed by replacing it.
-> Always keep the instrument strictly away from moisture ... and never leave it in a cold vehicle
