I have a C1 and a C2D but am seriously considering getting the new KeyB Duo Mk111. At $3995 it's only $500 more than a C2D and frankly, IMO it's a more attractive instrument as far as stage presentation. I'm hoping to get mine on 2/18 or shortly after. If I like the sound and think it's a keeper, I'll get the pedalboard, bench, and stand. It'll be interesting to hear them side by side.Mooser wrote: But it seems to me the C2D gives you more organ for your money, The C2D will be the one everybody wants, and recognises, like the B3 used to be.
On the OP, I have tried the C1 with a number of modules and found it to be a poor midi controller. I use a Roland VP770 on top of the organ for vocals and it has a few usable voices onboard. Tried a Roland SonicCell and Motif ES module but found that configuration unsuitable for gigging.
