Piano libraries: uploading all the OLD versions?
Johannes,
would there be enough room on your webspace to upload all the old versions that are not available anymore on the Clavia homepage?
I have some, but not all of them. Would be an interesting collection!
Cheers,
Manuel

Re: Piano libraries: uploading all the OLD versions?
Hey,
yeah actually I thought of this as well when I realized the the old pianos are not anymore available on the NordKeyboards Page.
However, you can still download the Complete Factory backup here: http://www.nordkeyboards.com/main.asp?t ... =Downloads which probably haven't been updated.
Regarding server space, the 250MiB should probably fit if Clavia doesn't decide to update the on a regular basis ;-)
However, I am not 100% sure if offering the downloads would legally be feasible, not an expert unfortunately. But might check with the guys from Clavia who already contacted me and who seemed very eager to communicate with their products' users!!!
As an alternative -which might also provide higher download speeds- anyone can upload what he likes to a file hoster like rapidshare.
Anyway, I'll pursue the idea.
cheers, Johannes

Re: Piano libraries: uploading all the OLD versions?
Hey, Clavia already contacted you! That's cool!
Of course we should ask if it was ok with them to upload the libraries...
I was thinking the really old pianos - like v1.x, v2.x, and 3.x that are not on the Clavia site anymore.
For example,my favorite grand piano, for a lot of things is still the StudioGrand XL Yam C7 close v2.1!

Re: Piano libraries: uploading all the OLD versions?
I agree, personally I really like the same YamC7 Mk2 ver3.2. I gonna check with Clavia whether that is possible. Then only need to find a way to upload them somewhere. Thanks for the suggestion!
cheers, Johannes
So apparently Clavia prefers to avoid confusion by encouraging a database of all the different versions of the pianos. However, some of the older versions (in particular useful for the CLASSIC Stages) can be found here:
http://www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads/samples/
However, if you have some requests of a particular version you might have lost or so, there is for sure a way to get it from someone or upload it somewhere else.

Re: Piano libraries: uploading all the OLD versions?
Thanks for the link! A lot of stuff there! In fact, more than I need right now!
Well, I can understand, that Clavia doesn't want people to get confused about all the different versions... ;o)

Re: Piano libraries: NOW AVAILABLE! (Thanks to Moe!!)
Apparently, there IS now a database of all the piano sample versions available. It was made available by Moe (Mate_Stubb) from the Nord Stage Yahoo Group and can be found at
http://www.hotrodmotm.com/stagelibrary/
Big respect for offering all the pianos!! I shall start trying them all out once I got some time!!
