Don't You Want Me Baby - Human League

Hi All

Anybody got any usable programs for Don't You Want me Baby by the Human League.

Playing this in a couple of weeks with my band, struggling to get the sounds right. I don't expect to reproduce it all but just the main parts.

Here's a bunch of patches.

The 'gated HPF' sound (the intro 16ths) is best played with a sequencer: the arpeggiator would be a possible, with the latch turned on, but (a) it doesn't sound right and (b) you wouldn't want to waste a slot just to have this playing away by itself...
Sounds use both A and B slots and are split to different zones.

The sample MP3s are only to demo the sounds, so ignore my bad playing

Lastly, these are pure synth patches, no samples involved, so you should be able to tweak away.
I didn't do trhe main melody, but TBH you can probably get close with with one of the EPianos thus avoiding the need for another synth patch.

No worries - I'm a relative newbie to the Nord club (but not new to synths so it's good to contribute to this excellent forum!

I think I was getting bogged down trying to find samples that would fit rather than using the synth section of the keyboard.

I must get back to that, rather than always looking for samples, with the EX, that's all we had to play with!

Yeah - it's a great tool to have up your sleeve. There's been a lot of talk about how the new Electro5 makes the NS2 less attractive, but the difference is right here. The new Electro's synth lets you play samples - that's it. The NS2 synth is pretty limited but you can still do a lot.
I was thinking of making an 80's patch library... if anyone's interested?
