Re: A Patch Editor for the Nord Stage (based on Ctrlr)
I had the same issue as glatchri and scho33 and put it into a new folder and it worked - bizarre.
It looks excellent. Only one small issue I have is that it is a little disconcerting the way the cursor disappears when hovering over knobs, etc. This is only a problem if editing directly through the software rather than using the keyboard controls, so is a very minor thing.
Many thanks.

Re: A Patch Editor for the Nord Stage (based on Ctrlr)
Hi Johannes,
I realise this is quite an old post, however I have been trying to get the 'Ctrlr' program to work but I keep getting an error when I run it......After clicking 'run' all Components are 'ticked'....Hit 'Next' and 'install' At that point I get an ..'error opening file for writing' the error box is titled 'Ctrlr MIDI Editor Setup'
No big deal but any ideas what I'm doing wrong? (I'm still on Windows 7 until my Daw and others are sorted out for W 10)
Regards
Jeff

The latest version of CTRL for OS X as of now is http://ctrlr.org/nightly/Ctrlr-5.3.163.dmg, however your version of OS X is very old, you should update it...sentiero76 wrote:Sorry, i can't open this program... after i downloaded may i have to put some component in some place? Thank you...

PS: you may also try the oldest versions of CTRL, though I would not recommend it (updating OS X and using the latest version is the way to go), just sort the download folder by date and try the oldest ones, in sequence http://ctrlr.org/nightly/?C=M;O=A

Re: A Patch Editor for the Nord Stage (based on Ctrlr)
Every time I click on the link to get the 'Patch Editor' it just takes me back to your original post from 2009.
I was able to get the first section via your link to Cntrlr site, but even there I get sent back to your post whenever I click on the GUI d'load thing.
Any Idea why this is happening?

Re: A Patch Editor for the Nord Stage (based on Ctrlr)
Good evening from the UK !!!
I am ashamed to say you have lost me. I am , after all, just a keyboard player ..........
I have recently purchased a NS Ex and thought I would take advantage of the good work a lot of people have done creating patches.
I managed to load the Ctrl MIDI thingy, tried to drag across the panel picture and at this point all has gone wrong.I ended up with a long winded panel with lots of odd questions and no nice picture of my NS.
I was hoping all would be easy but maybe its just too much tech for me.
If you have a spare minute wondering if you could help.
Thanks in advance
I am using a MAC (10.9.5 OS) by the way in case it matters.
Please no comments about my ignorance and suggestions that I stick with my old Korg

Re: A Patch Editor for the Nord Stage (based on Ctrlr)
Hello Guys, I have a NS2, can I use this program to save my sounds through the MIDI in/out port instead of USB one? (My USB is DEAD)
If yes, which version I should use for PC and MAC
Thanks

Re: A Patch Editor for the Nord Stage (based on Ctrlr)
Actually you can't use it for that purpose, at least not 100%, because CTRLr can only read/write the MIDI CC dump of the NS, but not all the parameters which have no CC associated (and are part of a program).aureliopenna wrote:Hello Guys, I have a NS2, can I use this program to save my sounds through the MIDI in/out port instead of USB one? Better if you get your USB fixed

Re: A Patch Editor for the Nord Stage (based on Ctrlr)
Hey Johannes,
I've followed multiple links to download the patch editor but I can't seem to find the Panel for Nord Stage 2 anywhere for Ctrlr. It must not be supported or was taken down. I see you have a screenshot of what it looks like. Is there any way you could provide the file/panel?
Thanks in advance!
