Hm... I am confused too... Is the rhodes sample size (i.e. the npno sample) the same one in both instruments or are you just assuming they are, by the name?

Re: NS3 Velocity and General Sound vs NS2
Ok guys take it easy. First of all: IS THE SAME NPNO SAMPLE. As far as I know, Nord sample library just contain ONE npmo rhodes "EP mk suitcase close ideal" ok? I use the same on NS2 and NS3 so I'm sure alright, and once I play the same note at the same velocity is the same sample right?
NEXT: Despite that I'm quite sure I play as hard as I can and that makes a 127, I'll do exactly what you guys are asking me to ok. Correct if I am wrong. I will play some notes at velocity 127 from Nuendo MIDI and recorded them played through nuendo, is that ok?

Rhodes have just 1 size per type/name, afaikMr_-G- wrote:Hm... I am confused too... Is the rhodes sample size (i.e. the npno sample) the same one in both instruments or are you just assuming they are, by the name?
@aureliopenna: sorry, disn't see your last message, where you also highlighted the above; yes do the test with MIDI notes at velocity 127 from Nuendo would be a good one.

Re: NS3 Velocity and General Sound vs NS2
I know, but in one of the posts it is mentioned: "The size was not the same, and I judge this unnecessary to show this difference I would trying to show at this point."
What did that mean? Size of what? I guess that it is what analogika commented on as well. If not just ignore my post.

I hope what I am saying makes sense now to you...
Same notes same time same sample same level in same everything, no efect.

Re: NS3 Velocity and General Sound vs NS2
Same size actually was sample played time, but forget this, I made this new one and I guess this excludes any wrong variable from our analysis.Mr_-G- wrote:I know, but in one of the posts it is mentioned: "The size was not the same, and I judge this unnecessary to show this difference I would trying to show at this point."

I think I got carried away with it, lol.
One more for you, now on Bosie with no release or string resonance just the sample, no eq or effect or something

Re: NS3 Velocity and General Sound vs NS2
Either this is a side effect of the velocity curve issue they acknowledged or they removed the release samples support from the NS3 (perhaps unlikely, but you never know).

Thank you first of all for not taking my criticism of your experimental method personally - really.
Thank you also for following up so throughly! I was going to do so myself, but don’t have both machines set up at the moment.
I will take an in-depth listen later on.
Happy New Year to you, and to all!

Re: NS3 Velocity and General Sound vs NS2
Perhaps Mr_G, but my point here is just to show how different the entire thing is sounding, the eq section is tottaly diferent, the Piano eq section is to much and almost useless in any bri/mid/low parameter, reverb sounds different. Despite of personal like, which is "where is nord?", the whole thing is sounding so different for same things like pianos. All I ask is, why? IMHO is not sounding better.Mr_-G- wrote:Either this is a side effect of the velocity curve issue they acknowledged or they removed the release samples support from the NS3 (perhaps unlikely, but you never know).
