You may end up spending a similar amount of money but you get a full instrument and still very valid, rather than just a master keyb.
Not that bad this idea. Indeed, I come from a NE3 (great keyboard; for some aspects... even better than the NE5). Then... it would be just a flashback.

In the next days I’ll give a try connecting my XF6 to the NE5 to simulate the presence of the keyboard-to-be (since the 17kilos of the XF make it unbearable to move around). And all of this will happen as soon as I find my 5-pin MIDI cable, lost who knows where some years ago. Anyway, if everything goes as expected thanks to the suggestions of our friends, in the end I’ll go buying the 6,5 kilos of gears you suggested me at the beginning.

Grazie Max.

Hello,

this is my first post.

I bought an Electro 3 and immediately fell in love with it! Looking around for a lower manual I found an old M-Audio Keystation 61es. Very light, supposedly semi-weighted action (more light-weighted, really).

The greatest thing about it is that it has no knobs above the keys - I can have my Nord sit right on top of it, so the two sets of keys are REALLY close to each other. I'll add a picture asap.

I do the same, but on my Yamaha P-155.
The only buttons are close to the keys, so the NE5D can rest it's front 2 feet on the surface of it. I've built a couple of rear legs that stand up from the Yamaha stand to support the back of the NE5D.

I'll also add a picture shortly.

Here's my setup (together with my kinda messy music room, through the lens of a crappy phone).

Yes, not enough money to buy a doefper dm3 or other real waterfall keyboard, i finally found a second-hand M-Audio keystation 61 for.... 20€. I'm happy with that!
Not the best, but for the price, i can't find better!

It's incredible how having the second manual with a comping sound dialed in just makes me want to play and play and play.

I know, I have the same feeling on my C2, it reminds me the hours I spent on my Hammond L100 35 years ago...
