Are you really saying that everyone that hasn't realised the NS3 is not great is not a serious piano player? And that it is a universal fact that the NS3 is not a great keyboard?
These are pretty harsh words (and wrong, in my humble opinion). So I TRULY HOPE that what you said above is just a result of your frustration with the keyboard and the lack of unanimous agreement here.
I man, in your mind, how many years of experience does it take to become a player that is allowed to hold opinions on pianos? How many other keyboards do you need to own? How many acoustic pianos (uprights and grands)? How often should you have tuned your own piano(s)? Or how many piano tuners do you need to have amongst your personal friends So I guess you were not really serious.
Could I kindly suggest that you consider that maybe there are just different perceptions of what a good keyboard is? And that it may actually work for some of us?
I fully accept that it doesn't work for you and for some others; so much that you said you were selling yours. But I don't claim you're a lousy player or work for the competition just because of that

I sent my NS3C to my dealer and he sent me another one, brand new. Now I'm waiting it to arrives.
This way, at least I believe, I can check if some negative points I've noticed will still remains and discard beeing my old unit problem.
By the way, @analogika and @baekgaard which Revision and Version are yours?

Given the sheer number of complaints and issues you had with your original keyboard, I find it difficult to believe that another Stage 3 compact will be the solution to your negativity, but here's hoping.....aureliopenna wrote:I sent my NS3C to my dealer and he sent me another one, brand new. Re: NS3 Velocity and General Sound vs NS2
Mine is a NS3 88HA version, and it is one of the very first boards rolled out from the mothership -- serial number is around 50 in the series, IIRC, so it's probably from the first batch and thus I guess version 1.00 or whatever revision number is being used. It plays wellaureliopenna wrote: By the way, @analogika and @baekgaard which Revision and Version are yours?

Re: NS3 Velocity and General Sound vs NS2
My brand new NS3C arrives!
And guess what?... anyone??
BTWm, I already asked this on another thread but I will ask it again.
Does anyone know if I can jump from 1.04 OS direcltly to 1.36 without doing every update step in between.
I know it seams to be a silly question, and I know the probably aswer will be " yes " but I would like to be as much as sure as I can about this quesite.

Re: NS3 Velocity and General Sound vs NS2
Firmware updates are not incremental so there shouldn't be any issue loading 1.36.
I am however surprised that your new NS3C would have a version of the OS that is that old.
v1.04 (2017-07-22) is from July of Last year.
v1.12 (2017-09-20) is from August of last year and anything built and shipped after that date should have 1.12 or later on it.
If yours has 1.04 on it, than it has been sitting around somewhere for eight or nine months.

I am not so sure about that. I received my NS in late September last year, fresh from factory, I think. It was shipped with 1.04. Same when I got my Lead A1 2-3 years after release, also with an old OS onboard.

Re: NS3 Velocity and General Sound vs NS2
You received a product 1 rev behind the current firmware that was shipping at the time (which is to be expected). However, a NS3 purchased today with v1.04 on it would indicate a 7-8 month delay which can only happen in one of two ways (either the product is old stock and has been sitting on a shelf or the product is a return).Bjosko wrote:I am not so sure about that. NS3's are in short supply and being pushed out as quickly as they can make them.
I can guarantee NORD is not building new NS3's and putting old firmware on them.
Product coming off the assembly line at NORD will have the latest version of the OS available at the time of the build.
I have a NS3C I just purchased and is scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday of next week. My hope is that it will have v1.36 on it, but If it arrives with anything older than v1.32 (2017-12-15) I will send it back.
I cancelled my original order from August of last year specifically because of the initial hardware and firmware issues that have now been addressed in later builds. I waited to re-purchase in order to ensure I would not have to worry about those early issues. Since NORD doesn't put date of manufacture info on their keyboards the only way to roughly determine the build date is to use the version of firmware shipped on the unit as a reference.

I have to agree, and you are right maybe it's an early unit but, for now, this new (old) equipament is totally different, I can't say how much it is but it is, and of course, for better.cgrafx wrote:You received a product 1 rev behind the current firmware that was shipping at the time (which is to be expected).
