Yup one year is probably your safest assumption.

Having said that, my local dealer told me there was a one-year warranty on my E4. (They never had to honor it!)
That's the absolute last thing I want.

I just want the Manufacturers Warranty in writing so I know exactly what's what.. The "I think it's this or that" or all the other assumptions & presumptions are so vague I don't know what's what. That's unacceptable to me & should be to all Consumers. Especially on premium priced purchases.

I have purchased a lot of various Musical Gear from Manufacturers from all over the World & every one one of them comes with Written Document stating exactly what the Warranty is. I find it very odd that Nord doesn't????

After having a problem with my Nord a little over year of ownership on a Keyboard I seldom play I want to know where I stand, what Nord will & won't do to resolve my Issue. It will sure make me ask about the Warrnaty on my next Gear Purchase. If a Consumer can't get the Warranty in writing it should give pause to their buying decision. It's definitely just cause to not buy another Product from them..

I've never used a Half Moon Switch before. So I bought one thinking it would be very cool! Only to discover there is something wrong with the Input Jack & quite possibly more.

Thank you,

Lucky

I don't want a Lawsuit. I just want my Keyboard to work as it was supposed to when I bought it.

@analogika - thanks, you are of course absolutely right. Sorry for mixing up the terminology.

@Lucky - apparently our efforts to comment are not helpful to you. We try to help on a best effort basis; so there is no reason to yell at us. You need to talk to whoever sold you the keyboard. They are the ones that may hold any legal obligations. We have no idea what terms Nord offer to their resellers in different parts of the world, and could best case only offer you the same info you may be able to read yourself.

Just to add one more thing. Have a look here - Nord (Clavia) specifically says that "Warranty and maintenance is handled by our distributors, and in some cases by special service centers. Please consult your point of purchase for detailed information."

So in the US, talk to AMS.

Please don't take offense or that I'm yelling at any of you or anything negative against any of you personally... That is not my intention...

The problem isn't the Half Moon Switch as I've tried 2 brand new ones.

I understand that this is a User Forum.. I just thought perhaps there may be someone from the USA that would have a written Copy of the Warranty.

I'm only trying to achieve one simple thing.. A written Copy of Nord's USA Keyboard Warranty so I can see in Black & white what the Coverage is. That's all...

I expect that when I buy a Car, a TV, a Computer, a Guitar, Recording Equipment etc. It is commonplace for it to be supplied with the Purchase. I've never had to ask before. That's why this is so pecular to me...

I appreciate all of the Input from you all..

I would hope that if any of you should ever have a problem with your new or near new Nord that you could know exactly what your Warranty is in writing, get faster, easier & better resolution to your issue than I'm experieincing...

I wish I could've gotten off on a better foot with my new membership to this Forum..

"A written Copy of Nord's USA Keyboard Warranty so I can see in Black & white what the Coverage is. That's all... "

This does *not exist*, as much as you may think it should. Clavia clearly states the local distributor sets/administers the warranty. Most of us (in N.A. anyhow) on here expected, and received, a one year warranty. You need to take it up with the store you bought it from, end of story. Saying that, you're probably wasting your effort trying to get more than a years coverage. You may want to consider having a qualified technician look at it for you. Pablo, who does frequent this list, can connect you with someone trustworthy in your area most likely, you will have to pay for the repairs for sure. Pablo is the N.A. tech support rep. He'd be the first to tell you to go to your store for warranty issues however.

I had an issue with my triple pedal on my NP3, my vendor (Long and McQuade) took care of it promptly and even offered me a loaner pedal and keyboard, inside the first year of course. YMMV depending where you bought yours from.

I bought it Online from a Store in Brooklyn. I live in So Cal.

I have already called the Store & they were vague. They said I needed to contact Nord.. Which I've done. I keep providing everything they ask for in writing. Hopefully they want to keep me as a long time Customer who refers them business.

Waiting to hear from them..

You may be right. I may be out of Warrnaty & I'll have to pay for the Repairs.. But how do I know what the Warrnaty really is unles I have a Copy of it & can read it?

If it's a verbal thing it can be whatever suits the Warrantor at any time at his disgression which is lopsided in his favor..Not to good for the Customer! Most, if not all, Manufactures spell it out in writing & provide a Copy when an item is purchased in the USA. This vague unwritten Warranty with Nord is contrary to standard Business practices in the USA.

I'm not trying to start a lawsuit.... I just feel entitled to full written Disclosure..
