Shine on

Great work!! Now I'll dive further into one of my favourite synth tunes, and it's also inspiring exploring how cool NS2 (synth) sounds are made.

I can't figure out why it sounds really load compared to all my other presets (both original and my own). The EQ boost does some, but not all. Any ideas why?
At first I thought it sounded terrible, but I was lucky when I found out it was "just" the inputs on my RME FF800 peaking like crazy..

It's still possible to play the lead synth on top, as the solo part is a static G minor (with a few exceptions). Stack a MiniMoog or something more stable and affordable on top, or make another split for an external synth, or if you've stuck with the red beast - maybe a soft Rhodes/Wurly with a Wah Wah on a expression wheel or mod wheel..

I did it on both NSC/EX and NS2. They sound slightly different.
You can download the NS1-version from

Cheers ...

The sound that I called "Shine on" is a synth sound.
It can be converted to respectively reprogrammed on analog or virtual analog synthesizers.
However, the NE doesn't have a synth section.
The only way to get it into a NE would be if someone went to the bother of sampling the sound and created a nsmp-file that the NE can handle.

Like said above, this is huge !

I sampled every note to have only one slot used, so I can use the little brass sound Rick Wright does on the intro =)

Thanks again

Could you maybe make your nsmp-file available here in the forum so that NP2 or NE3 players like gledhillda can use it in their instruments ...

:thanx:

Is there a version of this for the Stage 4?
