Re: Faulty new Bambino Upright v6.1 sample
Attached is a chart of Nord's Factory Piano loads from their last 6 models.
x - sample was loaded
NA - sample was not available at the time
NO - sample was not loaded
I bolded out the samples that have always been loaded when possible. The Black almost made it, except for not appearing on the Electro 6.

Re: Faulty new Bambino Upright v6.1 sample
If you guys think having the Bambino loaded is crazy, I'll have you know I use the Steinway No. 1 Kitchen Piano instead which is even more specialty / characterful / whatever you wish to call it... https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... hris-maene
Don't get me wrong, I love the White Grand as well for normal piano timbres. But this one feels so alive. Especially for LoFi, NeoSoul etc. It's like an old piano in a jazz club... But it certainly will be a waste of space for many people and that's fine too.

Re: Faulty new Bambino Upright v6.1 sample
This still has not been fixed. How can Nord be OK with a sample that has such a massive flaw? It literally POPS and then completely cuts out as the OP stated. Now, months later, no fix. At the very least, they should take it down. I have not yet tried to extract it from the Piano 5 restore file, but I will do that soon. And if that works...why don't they post that file instead? Really hard to understand Nord sometimes. I really enjoy the Bambino because I grew up learning and playing on a Baldwin Acrosonic, and the Bambino sounds *exactly* like that old piano! Gives me goosebumps!

Here are your options, based on the recent experience of several posters on this forum, myself included:
1) You can call Nord's support number and leave a message that will never be returned.
2) You can send an email to Nord's support email that will never be answered.
3) You can call your local (or national) Nord distributor, who will have no idea what to do, other than tell you to do #1 or #2
4) You can invoke and talk to the Ghost of Pablo Mastodon, Nord's unofficial support representative on this Board for many years, until his abrupt and unexplained departure.*
5) You can say to yourself, ok, Nord has had its run and the moths are showing now...my next board will be a Yamaha or a Korg.
6) You can just play another sample, either a different-sized Bambino or from one of Nord's many uprights...it's time to give the Blue Suede the comeback it deserves!
*Some would posit that this was the first sign of the Slow Decline we have been enduring for the past few years.

There is one other option... simply use the older 5.0 version which doesn't have this flaw...

You mean the 5.4 version. Most people might not understand which one to use, so they will opt for the newer one. Not everyone who buys a Nord and visits the Library for the first time is a veteran of this forum and knows where the bodies are buried:

Re: Faulty new Bambino Upright v6.1 sample
I'll just extract the one from the Piano 5 archive. But the issue here is, if there does exist a working 6.x Bambino, why on earth would Nord not replace the *totally* broken one with that working one??? I mean, we're not talking a small bug. The file they have on the site explodes with a pop and then silences for a second. It's full-on, totally a 100% broken sound. Just odd. Nord works in mysterious ways....

Generous. I would rephrase it to say "Nord is not working very well these days."
