Cool.
Do you see the three Half Moon switch boxes on the 5/7 LCD regardless if anything is plugged into the rotor pedal keyboard input on your compact?
And perhaps someone on this forum with a S4 HA, either 73 or 88, and OS 1.46, can go to the rotor pedal Half Moon menu and determine if they see One indicator box or Three on the 5/7 LCD.

Here is an image that shows everything:
- The switch itself (outside the case)
- The display showing the position (pedal settings 5/7)
- The rotary speaker state in each position
This is a Nord Stage 4, Compact 73. OS v1.46

Cool pictures of what your Compact shows. I understand that you get 3 boxes.
My HA only indicates a single box that I can toggle between unfilled / slow and filled / fast using the half moon.
So I'm wondering if someone else on this forum with a HA, and OS 1.46, can go to the pedal menu 5/7 (they don't need anything plugged into the rotor pedal keyboard input) and determine if they see three rectangles or one.
The question, are the 3 indicator boxes peculiar to the Compact, or are they visible on both HA and Compact with OS 1.46 ? If the 3 indicators also show on the HA, that would mean there's a probable problem with my HA.

To your previous question - the 3 boxes are shown even when the pedal is not connected. When the pedal is connected, the box jumps to the switch position.

I understand that. My question refers to the HA with OS 1.46 and not the Compact.
My question
... do the three indicator boxes also show on the S4 HA, OS 1.46, or only on the Compact? Perhaps someone here with a HA can check and post their findings. Thanks

bumper sticker version:
If other folks here, with an S4 HA (and not a Compact) see 3 boxes on the Half Moon menu, and I only see the single, that would indicate a problem with my S4.

If nobody has answered that by the time I get back down south next week, I will check as I should be receiving my NS4 HA88. Will check the topic then.

Thanks -- that would be great -- and check your OS version; I purchased my S4 HA 73 new, and still had to update it to 1.46.

Well, you should not expect a HalfMoon Switch working correctly on any Stage 4 model apart from the Compact as I mentioned before, since the Compact is the only one supporting this like it was with the previous Stage generations as well.
What k_rami showed from his Compact seems to hint at a bug in the software on a Compact (Stop position does not work), but that’s a different thing than having it work on the HA models. Having this fixed for the Compact will still very likely remain the current behavior on the HA models
I had a Stage 3 88 and a Stage 2Ex 88 and if I remember correctly they both showed the same behaviour with a Halfmoon Switch as described by ESFlash, and as expected due to this switch not being supported on the Non-Compact models
