Nord Stage 3 - hammond B3 Sound
Re: Nord Stage 3 - hammond B3 Sound
They DO beta-test these machines, right? Before releasing a $4000+ product on the market? And I mean with real people, not Clavia staff.

Well, I'm more and more like AldeKlein, all that bug stuff start really to scare me, not even sure I will buy a Stage 3 compact...Too much stress in thinking that you could have trouble using it with all the bugs that are coming out since it has been released....

I'm sure they do; anything else would not be wise.Gambold wrote:They DO beta-test these machines, right? Before releasing a $4000+ product on the market? And I mean with real people, not Clavia staff.

Have you been happy with your NS2? It also had a lot of bugs that needed to be addressed, checkQuai34 wrote:Well, I'm more and more like AldeKlein, all that bug stuff start really to scare me, not even sure I will buy a Stage 3 compact...Too much stress in thinking that you could have trouble using it with all the bugs that are coming out since it has been released....

Most bugs do not severely affect many people. I'd commend Nord for always trying to improve the products. But yeah, to make sure the biggest stuff is caught, you might want to wait 6+ months after the release of a new product. Not everyone should be a pioneer. And after that, if there's some known bug that you know would irritate you, wait for it to be fixed.

So after a week with the stage 3, honestly I’m not sure what everyone’s issue is with the B3! It’s delivering the goods for me. Way more authentic than the organ in my stage 2. And much closer to my 1958 B3 And 122rv . I don’t find the c3 v/c lacking and the key click and percussion sound great. IF Nord do decide to ‘improve’ the emulation I’d at least like the choice to keep the current model as an option.

@Anotherscott:
In fact yes, I was restarting music after a 10 years break when I bought it when it was released and took one year of lessons at the conservatory to catch up my former level, both in Jazz and classical and then, I was using it for Piano practice only....So, I didn't even realized at that time that they were bugs in the software....
You're right, I won't be a pioneer with the Stage 3, too old for that... And too Busy with my to bands...
@Goldfingha:
Maybe they all have the C2D has a reference and then, because it was advertised like this (C2D engine in the Stage 3), they are disappointed....

Did you read my first post?
I have the electro 4D, and the Stage 3 Compact, and i can tell you for sure, that the Compact does not sound close to the powerfull hammond that the 4D has.

May I politely point out that the 4D also has the C2D engine.Jo Osantos1 wrote:Did you read my first post?Quai34 wrote: @Goldfingha:

@Goldfingha essentially said he like the Stage 3 better than his Stage 2. The Stage 2 does NOT have the C2D engine, but an older organ engine.
@Quai34 said that people that complain possibly use C2D based engines as the reference point.
So the equation could be that:
NS2, NE3, ... < NS3 < C2D, NE4, ...
This does not in any way contradict your view, as far as I can tell.
In your first post, you said:
and again above you said:Jo Osantos1 wrote: I had an Electro 4D, and the Hammond was really good! Now on the Stage, i cant get the same sound :S Help?
These are similar statements (apart from the first implying you got rid of the NE4 and in the latter you still have both, I guess, but that's a minor difference).Jo Osantos1 wrote: I have the electro 4D, and the Stage 3 Compact, and i can tell you for sure, that the Compact does not sound close to the powerfull hammond that the 4D has.
But in any case, it could be argued that your point view supports the theory
If you meant something else, I apologise in advance for not getting the point!

Ok thanks Baggaert, I was a bit under the impression that I might have done something really wrong in my last post because I had read the first post, I did read it....Anyway thanks for that clarification and positiveness....
