Also, they need someone to make better presets.
Hope this all gets addressed in Wave 3. I'm willing to give it another chance in V3.
Since there has not been even a minor update for their only current synth (NW2) in 20 months, I seriously doubt any of these major changes will ever happen. I speculate that the TP/9S keybed in the Wave would have been much more expensive than the waterfall keybed they chose.
The presets personally don't matter to me as I only kept a handful of them to see how they were constructed and deleted the rest.

I actually like the TP/8O action as it mimics my Stage 3 Compact. I just added a Prophet Rev 2 keyboard with the TP/9S as my top board (will sell the module) so I have the best of both worlds.
I think the 9 is either the same price as the 8 or slightly cheaper. It’s in the Modal Argon and Cobalt which is a LOT less than a Wave 2. I believe the expensive Moog One uses a TP/8S.

Besides, I don't care what sort of music is being played for marketing purpose. But that's perhaps because I'm pop/jazz centered, too. And I'm not one of the younger customers.
The only way I see them focusing on “home” use is if they run into financial trouble or are sold. Nord is a strong brand in the US for live performance and worship bands in churches.

I think the TP/80 is fine as well. I like the TP/9s, (had the Prophet 6) but the TP/8S is the best I have ever felt. It was on my K5000S and Access Virus Keyboard. I think those keys are slightly longer and have textured sharps.

TP/9S shows $40 less than TP/8S. So if you have a 61-key need it’s not a huge difference, but if you’re selling a keyboard like the Modal Argon 8X that probably represents your profit margin on the product.

And in my view the largest determinant if I’ll buy a keyboard or not!
I tested out the Korg OpSix and Wavestate at Guitar Center. Fun sounds but horrible feel. Bought the VSTs instead.
