@ ElectroStrat I did update the OS to most recent version. Was contemplating using the Nord Piano 5 Factory Restore Rev E v1.24.np5b available on website to update everything but seems like a mixed bag of results. I'm going to hold off for the moment though and learn what the Piano 5 shipped with. I did make notes of previous posts from you and others about Soft Release issues with updated versions of Imperial and Bright Grand, etc. Once I begin swapping/updating files I will post if I see anything that catches my eyes.

Re: Piano library - new versions in instrument, not on websi
Confirming and adding a few acoustic pianos that do not support Soft Release on my Nord Piano 5 (OS v1.24) after using Sound Manager restore function from file Nord Piano 5 Factory Restore Rev E v1.24.ElectroStrat wrote:The updated Ballad EP1 Med 6.0 has also a flaw.
The string resonance is erroneously available for this layered digital piano sound.
Sounds weird at different points when the string resonance is left enabled unintentionally.
So Grand Imperial Lrg 6.1 and Bright Grand Med 6.1 do not support Soft Release, and Ballad EP1 Med 6.0 supports incorrectly String Resonance.
I don't know if other updated piano sounds have flaws.
For the moment, I will keep only the following 3 updated piano sounds :
- White Grand XL v6.3 sounds as good as the original version and has a much smaller file size
- Wurlitzer 1. 6.3 and Wurlitzer 2 6.1 sounds as good as the original version and has the Dyno filters available
Do you guys have found something else about the updated sounds ?
Grand Imperial (L) 6.1
Bright Grand (M) 6.1
Studio Grand 2 (M) 6.2
Romantic Upright (M) 6.1
Black Upright (M) 6.1
Honky Tonk (S) 6.1
The Soft Release works on all the above when restoring files to 5.3 versions.
Other Differences after using the Nord Piano 5 Factory Restore Rev E v1.24 in Sound Manager:
Grand Upright (L) 5.4 is replaced by Felt Upright (L) 6.2 and Saloon Upright (S) is no longer installed. This leaves 8 Uprights installed, not 9.
Silver Grand (L) replaced by (M)
Studio Grand 2 (L) replaced (M)

White Grand XL online is now 204. So that was updated. Not sure about the rest.
