I also find that if I slide my fingers to the end of the keys (where the lever is longest) and focus the pressure there it's easier to elicit the desired response from the aftertouch.

Well... its been a while. Still no Nord back from Gear4music.
Apparently Gear4 tried to have a look at it themselves and its something they cant fix, so they have had to sent it to Nord themselves.
There will be a Stage 5 out by the time i get it back at this rate...

Hi Kirsty, I bought a pair of QSC K2.10 speakers today from Nottingham, had to make a decision, may have made the right one or not. I'll try them out over the next few days and report on my findings or put them on Ebay. Cheers for now Macko

If you dont like them take them back
In that price category all the speakers should be of decent quality and sounding excellent tbh, Hope you like them in the end.

Ive had to put up with the CP4 which has great action but the most dull thin sounding sounds when you come from the Nord. They just dont seem to have any emotion in them at all.
I was up at gear4 last Tuesday and almost bought a Roland FP-90 to replace it (was very nice.. much nicer to play than the CP4 which is getting on a bit now)

Soo the lot thickens. Something going on.
Apparently Nord have my Stage 2EX. But despite having it several weeks, they are 'awaiting parts' to fix my clicky keys which arent going to be in stock for over a month!!
Some kicking off later and Gear4 have agreed to send me a display model Piano 3 out as a loan instrument until it is repaired. I suspect this is because THEY dont want to pay for a replacement instrument if Nord are going to repair it soon, and Nord of course dont want to replace it either.
Odd how the parts they need seem to be so unavailable though. Surely they have many HP76 keybeds in stock in general

I have a Stage 2 ex. It is my main board. I have no idea what I would do for two months if it were to go down. Perhaps it's time to transition to another manufacturer. One with a better warranty and better components.

I get that they are a small company, and my sheer love of the instrument means I will allow them time to sort it out, but the explanations about why its taking so long have changed a couple of times now and it is a little odd.

yes, that’s what is disappointing!
stories changing, and lack of transparency.
good communication is not a lot to ask for....
