Re: The Nord Piano wishlist
Pitch bend MIDI signal processing by the Nord Piano. Currently if you send a pitch bend via MIDI, Nord Piano ignores it. This is particularly disappointing in Nord Piano 2 which is capable of playing the Nord Sample library sounds which can be sometimes useless without a pitch bend. It should take just a software change to activate pitch bend processing via MIDI.

Re: The Nord Piano wishlist
I do acoustic piano tuning and prefer "unequal temerament" and have my own offsets i use....so this option of user setting temperament (individual pitch setting for each note) would be a greatly desired option.

Re: The Nord Piano wishlist
Hi Paul - finally someone else appreciating tunings! In principle, digital pianos are so much easier to tune than acoustic pianos, why not make a real feature out of it?! I could see a lot of experimental music, and even some more traditional playing, profiting from suitable (unequal) "well-temperaments" .

Re: The Nord Piano wishlist
Don't know if this has been addressed with the NP2, but I find it stupid beyond belief that the 1/8" minijack input cannot be routed to the outputs. A great opportunity to perform with iPhone/iPod backing tracks ruined.
Also, more pp and ppp samples and wider velocity response.

Re: The Nord Piano wishlist
I thought of another wish: Including FM ep samples. It's nice to have 6 different types of Rhodes, but I'd just as soon lose one or two and replace them with a usable DX7 ep and MKS20 ep. This would make the NP a little more versatile, as one of those in combination with chorus and reverb can quite convincingly substitute for pad sounds.

Re: The Nord Piano wishlist
I want a lock panel, so when i am playing wildly - i dont accidently push any undesired buttons. This should be not to hard to implement with some combi key like SHIFT + PAGE or whatever.

Re: The Nord Piano wishlist
Copy/paste from the other thread:
I'm pretty satisfied with the sounds we have right now, BUT...
rather than still more acoustic piano and rhodes sounds, I think the NP88 would benefit tremendously from a few different timbres:
- FM EP: the infamous DX7 electric piano sound from the 80's
- MKS/JV EP: the 'Babyface' R&B sound from the 90's
- piano/pad: come on guys, it's a necessity for a PROFESSIONAL digital piano, at least it is here in LA.
- EP/pad: ditto.
Just four sounds, and the NP88's usefulness and versatility increases exponentially. With these extra sounds, it will be everything I need in a bottom tier board!

Re: The Nord Piano wishlist
We got a wonderful present for this year's holidays - the Fazioli Italian Grand. Congratulations Clavia!
Once again the open concept of the Nords has proved to be the right way to go.
So where does that leave is with our wish list? As far as I am concerned the main wish for 2013 remains a better pianistic action.
On the software side, larger Rhodes samples (and, please, add alternative and user-defined tunings if at all possible...).

Re: The Nord Piano wishlist
I have the two great instruments Nord Piano 1 and Nord Electro 3 in my rig. My NP1 was the local dealer's demo piano, and I got it for a really good price a week before NP2 was launched.
After a year of use, I wish the piano sound bank also included bell-sounds and chromatic percussion.
My NE3 has of course the sample bank, but from experience I often want to use vibraphone and bell sounds on the Nord Piano while playing organ on my Electro 3.
I cannot afford buying NP2 in the nearest future... Or is it somehow possible to get a vibraphone sample into my NP1?
In general I also wish there were more vibraphone and xylophone/glockenspiel samples in the sound bank.
