Both instruments will respond to an external clock, but I don't believe either of them generate an outgoing Master Clock signal. You would need to have another device generate the clock signal-

If I use external clock on the midi ins, then I cannot controll the NW2 with NS3 external. Or is it somehow possible?

If you are referring to master clock, no, the NS does not send or pass masterclock. You can of course use the NS3 Extern to send program changes and other commands to the NW2, but master clock is not supported. You would need some sort of device that could send master clock to both units.
Exactly what are you trying to accomplish?

Hi dj,
I'd like to accomplish these use cases:
- In case of program change on NS3 I' d like to load the assigned NW2 program automatically.
- I'd like to control the NW2 ARP from NS3, but ARP tempo and effect clock should be controlled by NS3 also real-time (without program change).
- Additionally in some sound programs I'd like to send the polyphonic ARP midi signal from NW2 to the NS3 synth (because no poly-ARP on NS3 possible).
Is any of these possible, if so, how? Thanks for support!

Hi dj,
I'd like to accomplish these use cases:
- In case of program change on NS3 I' d like to load the assigned NW2 program automatically.
This can be done easily by disabling the Global channel on the NS3 and setting the Extern channel on the NS3 to the Global channel of the NW2 and enabling Extern.
- I'd like to control the NW2 ARP from NS3, but ARP tempo and effect clock should be controlled by NS3 also real-time (without program change).
I don't think this is possible as the NS3 ARP does not send notes via midi, only the initial keypress.
- Additionally in some sound programs I'd like to send the polyphonic ARP midi signal from NW2 to the NS3 synth (because no poly-ARP on NS3 possible).
You can trigger the NS3 ARP from the NW2 if Panel A or B is set to the global channel of the NW2, but it will play its own ARP settings and will not support the Poly ARP of the NW2.
This thread is moving to far from the original subject.
Hope this helps-
