For the MIDI controller supports, it makes use of the standard screws at the back. For the tablet holder support, I make use of the music stand supports that are already there. Let me know if you have any questions!FZiegler wrote:It might depend on what plugs are below those screws. But maybe this design even doesn't affect the jacks/plugs.

Re: Tablet holders
The tablet holder is only supported for the NS3 Compact Rev B (the one with music stand supports).Schorsch wrote:I am on the Rev. A version of the NS3 compact, therefore the music stand tablet holder cannot be mounted on my NS3 compact (and the vendor lists only the NS3 Compact Rev.B)
I am not sure about the keyboard/midi controller supports from that vendor but I saw that they do not list the NS3 Compact - it might still work though.
For the MIDI controller/laptop supports - this is supported for the NS3 Compact as it makes use of the default screws on the back - not the music stand supports.

Indeed!FZiegler wrote:The supplier writes: "The supports are attached by screwing two small brackets on the back of your Nord with the existing screws that you can leave there. There is no need to drill holes. The supports then slide over the brackets and they rest on the top of your Nord. A piece of rubber protects your keyboard."

Re: Tablet holders
NS3 Compact Rev B is supported - as it has the music stand supports.Schorsch wrote:Will it work on the Stage 3 Compact? My compact does not have the required screws, these are just available on the 88 and maybe HP76 model. Also the website of the manufacturer does not list the Compact as a compatible model, only the 88 and HP76
I am working on a prototype for Nord models that do not have the music stand supports tho...

Indeed, not yet for the NE5D. I am working on a prototype that might works for models that do not have the music stand supports...Afghanza wrote:Wow that tablet setup looks very nice. Too bad my NE5D doesn’t have the holes to fix it. Let’s hope the NE7 will support it

Re: Tablet holders
Indeed, and that was my original idea. However, it turned out it was too much work/toom uch of a challenge to make use of the existing music stand and make a stable support for a tablet. I am making use of my own design holder, but on the other hand any tablet holder that supports the 3/8" thread when making use of the inexpensive K&M20001 is supported.Mr_-G- wrote:It is a bit curious that there has not been a simple design/connector for a tablet that slots directly into the stand holder, instead of having to remove and replace the original plastic with that other adaptor.

Re: Tablet holders
Let me know and I am sure we can find a solution: info@w3brr.nlWinds wrote:This is great! Shame doesn't ship to my countryFZiegler wrote:There are interesting solutions for having a tablet attached to a Nord. Just stumbled over a new one mentioned by superbender.
An adapter for a short mic beam replaces one of the two music rest supports and can be combined with some 3rd party tablet holders that fit on a mic beam: https://www.w3brr.nl/de/shop/nord-mic-s ... et-holder/. This should work for most Nords with music rest supports (Electro, Piano, Grand, Stage) - preferably if they are sitting even (not 2nd/3rd tier). Can be e.g. combined with different K&M tablet holders. Or of course other gear. There have been mentioned other solutions before:
- different tablet arms
- a sliding frame: the K-Frame
- I remember having seen another sliding frame on the forum, but couldn't find it any more.
So there are solutions for both attaching the tablet to the instrument itself or to a keyboard stand.
As I need to use glasses, I like solutions with adaptable eye distance. But of course, there are other relevant aspects as well: Amount of wabbling when hitting the instrument, overall stability, cool look, different use of the tablet and the control knobs on the instrument etc.

Re: Tablet holders
I love the look of the tablet holder that replaces the music stand holder... but am concerned that it will be very vulnerable in the Compact soft case; the holder sticks out the back and presumably will always have the full weight of the keyboard on it whenever it's put down. Has anyone used this and can comment?

Re: Tablet holders
Hi, I m Ruud Roelofsen, the designer of these products. I have used the holder for over 6 months on my Piano 5 and I do have the softcase. The holder has the strength of ABS and can hold a weight of more than 100 kgs. Happy to send you one to test...spradders wrote:I love the look of the tablet holder that replaces the music stand holder... but am concerned that it will be very vulnerable in the Compact soft case; the holder sticks out the back and presumably will always have the full weight of the keyboard on it whenever it's put down. Re: Tablet holders
Hi Ruud - ok great, I'll buy one... maybe next month after the pain of paying for the stage4 has decreased somewhat I presume the stand holder dimensions are the same on NS4 Compact as the other Nords, but let me know if you want me to measure the hole distances.W3BRR wrote:Hi, I m Ruud Roelofsen, the designer of these products.
