Since they are not mentioned in the Update History, I wonder if those options are yet active at all on 1.12 or rather the Rev 2.0 panel is in preparation for their implementation, but in a future Release (as it was for the Undo button, for example: it was there since the beginning but not used/active until 1.10)

I've just had an email reply from Nord about the revisions as I'm looking to buy the Stage 4 in the UK. This is the reply I had:
Nord constantly strive to improve their products, so there will sometimes be smaller changes made over the course of a product’s life which is why a Stage 4 rev B is being released shortly.
The differences in the Stage 4 rev B are mainly cosmetic to reflect new software features that will be introduced in future OS updates (these features will still work on a rev A unit too with the update, it's just that they won't have physical labels on the front panel). However, one hardware change is the removal of the 'Follow Focus' button that the rev A units have - Rev B units will now always be in follow focus mode, whereas Rev A units will continue to work the way they currently do. Therefore, an easy way to identify a rev B unit is whether it has a Follow Focus button or not. Rev A's do and rev B's don't. Nord have also added a Solo function to the Section On button. A long press will now disable all other sections. This is different from the general Solo button that allows temporary audition of the solo’ed layer.
Nord's web site will be updated with Rev B pictures and specifications shortly. And rev B units should be arriving in the UK soon, date to be confirmed.

I'm about to exchange my Stage 4 73 for a new one. The first one I bought from Guitar Center was labeled as "Open Box - Like New". And it sure seemed to be "like new" when I got it. But when I put it down on a flat surface I noticed it rocking. When I flipped it over, expecting to see a foot missing, instead I saw a huge dent. The unit had been dropped from a pretty high place and was severely warped on the bottom. Testament to Nord that it still worked perfectly! Anyway, GC ordered me a new one and it just came in. Not sure what choice I'll have, but what do we think about the comment above regarding the Rev.B not having the Focus Follow button? Do I want that button gone? If I have a choice, what Panel Rev. would you choose?

The latest available, in any case, because OS updates will be based on that Rev layout + it will keep its value better in case of resale as used.

Strange enough when I sold my Nord Stage 2 88 years ago and my NS3 Compact some months ago nobody asked me how old or which revisions they were. Both were of the initial revisions however in mint condition.

Because most of the potential buyers of a Nord Keyboard are not aware of the fact that there are different revisions, I guess (and reading posts and questions on NUF and other places, some are not even clear about what each model can or cannot do and the differences between an Electro and a Stage etc...)

I would lean toward getting the latest model with the new labeling, but to your other question, I wonder as well whether current Stage 4 owners find value in being able to turn off "Follow Focus", which Rev B owners won't be able to do.

I think in the end I will benefit from the latest. More people will have that in a few years rather than the early builds. While it might actually be a useful feature (to be able to turn off Follow Focus), if most people don't have it, I'd be in good company! But ultimately I won't really have a choice, so we'll see what the lottery brings me...

I got Ver. 2.0 Rev. B. No focus follow button. I suppose the good thing is that I never used that button previously.
