Motion Sound spinning again!
I know this is OT, but might be useful to forum members.
Motion Sound ceased business for a while, but an announcement they were resuming business appeared on their website.
Well, I just got a call from them responding to my queries. I purchased the parts I needed (spare diaphragm) and they're being shipped.
The Motion Sound person (the charming and effecient Debbie) tells me they will be offering new products in the future, too.
But if you use Motion Sound stuff, and need to get in touch with them, they are back, and doing business.
I'm glad to see it, I'd like to see more than one brand of rotary-speaker organ amplifier in the market.
ANd I sure like this Larry Young track, "Backup"
Not to mention McGriff's take on "See See Ryder"
Amazing bassline.

Re: Any favourite organ videos on YouTube
Has Tarkus become a required piece for organ students these days? Wouldn't surprise me if it had!

Found this 15 minute solo clip of Pierre Sward a couple of days ago.
You can't see his hands, but I love how expressive he is with various sounds.

Sometimes Sco is so outside that he's inside. And his sound is so great. And then Joey just kills.dynanord wrote:John Scofield !!!
He kills me at the end of his (guitar)solo. Such a creamy screamy take off ...
I'm pretty sure Joey is on bass in this arrangement. If so, he has one awesome lick he varies a few times during the other's solos (2:33, 3:02, 3:50). Note to self: steal bass lick.

Couldn´t describe it better
If you have watched that Mangavideo, please take a look at this. Kind of parallelism.
