Re: NS3 Bug reports etc.
Today I want to make a program with Clavinet and Wah-wah effect controled via CTRL pedal...
When I start playin' and push pedal, I hear awful digital noise...I try the same thing with another sound ( Rhodes) and everything is ok...
When i use CTRL pedal with Hammond, it's ok too...

Re: NS3 Bug reports etc.
So you have a plain sound (e.g. like Rhodes), engage the Effect 1 on the piano part (as the only effect), set it to Wa-Wa, use morph to control the amount (going from e.g. 10 to 0) with the control panel and set the rate at something, and then start playing.
And then, with the Rhodes, it's all OK, but with the Clavinet, you get digital noise when playing the keys and change the pedal settings?
I wasn't able to reproduce this error, as it seemingly works here, but there may be some other differences between our setups.

Re: NS3 Bug reports etc.
Exact same problem with mine, original posted by ADSLR in another tread.
I have sent an email to Nord (friday) but have not got an answer yet.
I am at work until friday, so have not tried the new OS. Are on the last OS (1.14?)
You can also reproduce the fault if you manual adjust the amount knob ( at the same time as you are playing a note) after it have been assigned to a morph.
Here are a short video I made, hope it are visible.

Re: NS3 Bug reports etc.
Hi everyone, I found this bug and was able to reproduce the problem many times, and it was confirmed by other users this the forum. Please try the following:
Set up split point ‘Low’ and ‘Med’ to C3 and F3 respectively. Now assign a piano to zone one and a synth to zone two.
Set ‘SplIt Width Low‘ to ‘Off’
Set ‘SplIt Width Med‘ to ‘Small’
Now key C3 doesn’t play any sound!
I already informed Nord technical support, so it should be fixed in a following firmware... I hope.

Re: NS3 Bug reports etc.
@bjosko, @maurich: I am now able to reproduce the issue as well.
There is, though, one precondition to make it happen (which I learned by looking at @bjosko's video): After you have programmed the morph, you have to change the setting again so that the value is now NOT the one you originally set up in your morph. If you don't touch the amount button, or if you set it back to the value you morph from, then the noise isn't there (and I didn't do that initially).
So (at least here), if I set it up to morph from 0 to 10, and leave the amount knob untouched, then it works with no noise. If I touch the amount knob and set it to anything but 0, then I get digital noise (VERY LOUD -- be careful if you test this with headphones, as I did). If I set it to 0, the noise appears to be gone (or at least I haven't heard noise in that setting while admittedly only playing around with it shortly).
It also means there could be some possible workarounds: 1) After you have programmed the morph, don't touch the amount knob. Or 2) save the settings to a program and recall it again, and then make sure you don't touch the amount knob while playing it. Or 3) morph from e.g. 0 to some value, and make sure your amount knob stays at 0 whenever using this program.

Re: NS3 Bug reports etc.
I never considered the channels being out of phase!!! That also explains why the other (stereo) pianos sounded less than stellar with the headphones! Thank you!analogika wrote:Your 1/4“-to-3.5mm headphone adapter is faulty. There appears to have been a huge shipment of faulty adapters from China flooding the market, where one channel‘s phase is inverted and the two channels are shorted out - resulting in the cancellation of all center-panned signals.friendben wrote:Think I've got a new one here. NS3 In a patch, while selecting a piano, none of the EPs or the Clavs are output to the headphones, except through an effect, such as a reverb tail. The 1-4 ouputs work fine. it's just the headphone out.
This is why you can hear stereo reverb tails and organs, but not monk Rhodes and Clavs.

Re: NS3 Bug reports etc.
I’m have found the frequency of the high EQ (effect section)is lower than it used to be on the NS2. I presume this is supposed to be a shelving EQ. Now I have to use the sweepable mid to cut or boost high frequencies. Anybody else notice this?
