DougP, the difference in the panel shown in those pictures were between rev A and rev B 5.1, and this dates back more than a year ago. They haven't been introduced with rev B 5.2.

Hey gang! Dougp was kind enough to let me know about the post back-channel. If this chart comes in handy here - so be it! On that note (and as you may already know), I'm always pointing people back to the Forum here so I think this is a win/win in my book. Thanks FZiegler for thinking about us creators like this. You can count on one hand the people who pay attention to that these days. Cheers to the Nord User Forum for all that you guys do and I want to say thank you for your support over the years when my videos/courses surface from time to time.

The ventilation slots are gone on the latest ones. My HA88 doesn’t have them. I think that little version number on the black part of the chassis in front might be the indicator for the vent-less chassis. There’s another thread here that covers the reasons for removal -something to do with safety certification issues.

I had the opportunity to test drive both rev A and B. The keybed is different on the “B”. The black keys are more textured, and the action is now more piano-like. It’s not quite as “synthy”

Hi everyone,
I recently got the NS3 compact and its Rev B 2.2. Thing is it doesnt have the airvent above the power supply. Is this normal or do I have a fake/old keyboard/too new of a keyboard. Thanks!

Hi, that's normal, latest NS3 don't have the airvents any more, as you can read a few posts above (probably for safety reasons and/or to avoid eccessive dust getting into the chassis) so you should be happy as you got a "very new" one.

which model are you talking about? 88, 76 or 73?

Yes, if you go through this topic you will see that the latest versions don't have the ventilation grid. Everything should be fine on your Compact, congrats on your new purchase!
