Well, if we are being technical about it, the THREAD was about Windows 10, but the POST was about Windows 11 and the only reason it is no longer the first result in a search for “Windows 11”, is that all the posts from this thread are now ahead of it.Berretje wrote: Actually, that post was for Windows 10, but was the 5th search result
Glad you've fixed it.

Re: Sound Manager - USB Driver Error - Windows 10, 11
I am having the same issue connecting my Stage 3 to the Sound Manager running on my Windows 10 Professional computer. It is fine with my laptop that is running Windows 10 Home.
Any word on whether Clavia is planning an update to address this situation?

Re: Sound Manager - USB Driver Error - Windows 10, 11
I had a similar problem with Windows 11 Professional. It was fixed by disabling core isolation. Any word on an updated driver that would allow us to run core isolation without causing problems with the Clavia driver?

Re: Sound Manager - USB Driver Error - Windows 10, 11
More and more Windows users will run into that issue. I won't switch off Memory Protection on my Laptop. It's used for both personal and professional purpose and needs to meet basic security standards (more isn't possible for standard Windows installations, I think).
So I need Nord to become active after 2 years.

Re: Sound Manager - USB Driver Error - Windows 10, 11
Apologies for resurrecting a dormant thread here, but we seem to have a partial fix for the issue. Tried and tested on a NS3
Download the latest driver from Nord (v4.06 as of writing) https://www.nordkeyboards.com/wt/docume ... 0v4.06.zip
1.Uninstall any old drivers and install the new driver.
2.With core isolation enabled, connect the keyboard, you will get the following error:
" A driver cannot load on this device
driver: ClaviaUSB64.sys
A security setting is preventing this driver from loading. You'll need to
adjust you settings to load this driver"
3.With the keyboard connected, go to Device Manager, Uninstall the Clavia 64-bit USB driver and check "Attempt to remove the driver for this device"
4. Disconnect & reconnect keyboard, there will now be an unknown device in device manager
5. Right click on the device -> Update driver -> Browse my computer for drivers -> Let me pick from a list.... -> Show all device -> Clavia Digital Instruments.. -> Nord Keyboard -> Yes on warning
6. You should now be able to connect via Sound Manager and/or Sample Manager
Only downside is the OS update tool no longer recognises the keyboard for now.
Hope that helps

Re: Sound Manager - USB Driver Error - Windows 10, 11
I´m facing an interesting problem with this driver too.
I use a NE5 and a NS4 and had currently 2 DELL-Notebooks for my music-work - one WIN10 and one WIN11. Both notebooks has the same driver (4.06) and both the same / latest revision of NordManager and NordEditor installed.
But the WIN11-PC only recognize the NS4 and refuses the NE5. When I try the NE5, it says "driver cannot be loaded", while the WIN10-PC serves both Nords properly. I´d already uninstall and reinstall the driver moretimes, but no change. As it is said somewhere, that Manger&Editor would install the USB-Driver within their installation, I´d already reinstalled them also. But still the NS4 runs properly while the NE5 is locked out.
It´s not an issue for me, since I´m gonna selling the NE5 (and the WIN10Notebook) soon and I can simply make the last backup of the NE5 on the WIN10-PC before I wipe it, but it tickels me to know, what the reason / resolution could be...

Re: Sound Manager - USB Driver Error - Windows 10, 11
When I click "Show all devices" it shows only "Clavia 64-bit USB Driver" (the broken one, which the install calls "legacy"!) and if I proceed it says "Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install."john_k wrote: ↑27 Jul 2024, 21:53 Apologies for resurrecting a dormant thread here, but we seem to have a partial fix for the issue. Also, I will definitely want to update the OS.
Is there any update? Or do I have to disable memory protection? This issue has been known for over 2 years now.
