Re: Electro 7 - let it happen!
I agree, Nord seems to be quietly bailing on the organ side of things. And the problem remains - organs want a waterfall keybed, Pianos want weighted ones. The Electro can only offer one or the other, so you end up with one side of things (organ or piano) not as playable as they could be.
I have had two Electros and have opted for the waterfall keys on both units. But more and more I realize that I miss having a decent weighted keybed for acoustic and electric pianos. My Korg SV-2 has a nice one, but their acoustic piano samples are way below the quality of Nord's.

Re: Electro 7 - let it happen!
I totally agree and believe that the Electro is at its best in waterfall action...I have the NE2 61 still after all these years, had the NE3 and NE5 also in waterfall. For a brief period I had the NE5 with the HP weighted action and really didn't like it. Same was true for the NS2 EX 76 HP...just not a comfortable action for me, despite its portability factor. Nord's best weighted actions are the HA found in the Piano and Stage, plus the Kawai action in the Grand.Gambold wrote: ↑26 Jun 2024, 21:28 I agree, Nord seems to be quietly bailing on the organ side of things. Hah, true, but so does nordstage5.com and they aren't releasing THAT anytime soon. They created that back in 2022 - I'm sure they reserved a whole bunch of future names.

Re: Electro 7 - let it happen!
Hm... The Synth-Section doesn`t offer a Key-Zone selection, like the Organ- and Piano-Section offers... This ist strange and looks a bit like a possible fake to me...

Re: Electro 7 - let it happen!
I'm convinced of the picture being a fake: Exactly a NS4 panel on the left side, a NE6 panel in the middle and on the right. No clue how FX and split zones would be handled that way.
But the idea isn't that bad: double organ and piano layers, single sample-synth layer, no FX per layer, but attributable to a single engine each (as before).

Re: Electro 7 - let it happen!
Yes... Nice intentions... And a "Dual-organ" has already been in the Electro6 - so two Faders would make sence... But in the end, a Dual-Piano-Section would bring too much effort with memory and polyphony handling from the technical side... So what should an Electro7 be alike - a Nord Stagelectro? In Nords place, I would keep the available Sections from the NE6 and give the 7 some smart updates... The 7 has not be an Electro6 killer, but simply an update... For Nord as a producer this means a new production run, that uses uptodate technical opions (already available on other workbenches at the Nord Factory) and some small but nice updates... Everthing else would not be an Electro, but a new Class between Electro and Stage...

Re: Electro 7 - let it happen!
I’m also believing that this is a fake but wanted to get your opinions. I got it from a German musicians forum, the poster there mentioned to have seen it in a Nord group on Facebook
