Re: Stage 4 Song Mode ?
Having WiFi, Bluetooth, and Cat5 connectivity would be really useful for this. Jus' sayin'superbender wrote:Directly to the Nord Stage 4.Arni61 wrote:Is the smartphone connected directly to the Stage 4 or to the PC?

Re: Stage 4 Song Mode ?
If you have an iPhone, you can do it via bluetooth, by plugging a CME WIDI device into the back of your Nord. (I don't think that works with an Android smartphone, though.)
Re: Stage 4 Song Mode ?
Who works with the bandhelper app and can briefly explain how I create a setlist there with the stage 4? I have no idea.

Re: Stage 4 Song Mode ?
Hi Arni,
I use Bandhelper with my Nord Stage 3 (and did so with other gear before), but the steps are the same in general for the Stage 4. First of all I recommend to create everything from a PC, logging into your Bandhelper account on the web.
General hint: always remember to use the save (speichern) button on each of the steps!
1. Add a MIDI device: go to Repertoire - MIDI Devices (MIDI Gerät), chose "add a MIDI device" (ein MIDI-Gerät hinzufügen), enter a name and assign the correct MID channel which your Stage 4 is set to respond to (global channel) => SAVE
2. Create MIDI Presets for each song and assign the program change values: go to Repertoire - "MIDI Presets", add a MIDI preset, enter a name (I use the song or program name), enter the bank MSB, LSB and program change number for the program which you want to use on the Stage 4, for example program B:31: MSB 0, LSB 0, Program 80 => SAVE
this nice app mentioned here helps to identify the correct MSB / LSB and Program Change values: nord-stage-forum-f3/nord-stage-4-midi-m ... 23492.html
3. Create a Song: go to Repertoire - Songs, create a song, enter a name and add the corresponding MID preset (on the very right of the window) => SAVE
4. Create a Setlist: go to Repertoire - Setlists (Setlisten) and create a new setlist, enter a name, add the songs you want to be part of the setlist => SAVE
5. On your device like iPad either chose an existing layout or create a new layout for the setlist => SAVE
That's more or less the way - please also check the tutorials on the Bandhelper webpage

Re: Stage 4 Song Mode ?
Anyone tried the CME WIDI device and can confirm that the Nord MIDI ports provide sufficient power for this device?

Re: Stage 4 Song Mode ?
Yes, the Yamaha MD-BT01 gets enough power from my Nord Stage 3s and works fine here too. But the CME WIDI Master, at 37mW, consumes 42% more power than the MD-BT01 at 26mW. Therefore, I wonder if the power provided at the MIDI ports of the Nord is still sufficient for the CME WIDI Master, especially because the power supply of devices via MIDI ports is not standardised.maxpiano wrote:I tried with Yamaha MD-BT01 and it worksSchorsch wrote:Anyone tried the CME WIDI device and can confirm that the Nord MIDI ports provide sufficient power for this device?
