Hi to all and Happy New Year!

The other day I listened to a nice jam with Cory Henry and Michael League. Man these guys are geniuses.
I wonder that Jupiter 80 sound can be produced on a NS2? Its a lead sound. Something similar at least. Its so creamy! Thanks.

Hi,

Listening at 10'20
We could use the "rock with you" synth program ( FM sine, glide ) for the whistling part,
and layer it with some e-piano.

I'm thinking about using these programs here :

If you try something please post back ;)

Thanks for the attempt!!!It's a good start. I'll try to tweak it. I'm a newbie here, can you tell me how to save a program and upload it here? I wanna share my result in the future.

Hi,

You connect the nord via USB to a computer and use the "Nord Sound Manager" software, that is available as a download on Nord's webiste.
Then you upload the program, using that software, from your keyboard to the computer.
You'll get a file, named after your program's name, and ending with the "ns2p" extension.
This file you upload here on the forum, using the "Full Editor" button that is next to the "Submit" button when you post a message, it gives you access to file upload.

Let's face it ... NS2 vs Jupiter80 :

NS2
1 program has 2 synth section
each synth section has 1 oscillator, unison modes (multi is nice) and knobs on the panel.

Jupiter 80
1 Program (is called a LiveSet) can have 4 sounds (including percussion, called "Tones"), a synth tone has 3 oscillators (called partials).

Effects have to be considered as well.
The "fight" ;) is more balanced than specs may suggest 'coz of Nord's ability to summurize things.
Jupiter 80 can selection PCM (samples) waveforms for each oscillator.
NS2, we can use samples (form Nord Sample Library), an layer organ / piano (with effects and "uncommon" settings).

You're right, this sound is sweet.
Also Cory Henry is a great board player imho.

Cheers,
F.

Thanks a lot for helping me out!
Here's my try: I onestly don't know that the EP sample I'm using for the program was or wasn't originally in the sample section, so I uploaded that too in case you haven't got it. (You know I deleted a lot of samples from my keyboard and put some others)

Using this sound is such a good idea !
It was posted by Urania in 2012 (link).
I think that it's nice to have it here available as a package (bundle) for this sound.
Thank you very much.
I'll get my NS2 back (actually gone for repair) and try soon.

I finally am able to post my rezults of the Cory type sounds...Not perfect, though so far I'm ok with them :-)

I especially made them that the EPs are on slot A and Synth on slot B because I'm playin on two keyboards a Roland A88 controller (slot A) and synth and anything else on NS2 sw73 Slot B....So if you want to have the sound altogether with the EPs you have to activate both slots.

Have fun and thanks!
