Damper resonance what is it and do all models have it

I have an Electro 5 but I'm thinking of picking up a Stage Classic 88 for some gigs. I know many of the limitations of the Classic but I'm curious about damper resonance.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't damper down resonance give players all the sound benefits of string resonance, but only with the damper down? And isn't the Stage Classic capable of doing that?
Sorry if this had been answered elsewhere, I couldn't find it.

ehm... trying to respond to Ramon I found that actually this had been answered elsewhere and... to a post you made!

@mon8169: no details on what that Dynamic Crescendo exactly is, sounds like something having to do with how string resonances are regenerated when you play "crescendo", but mine is just a guess

Thanks maxpiano, just what I needed!
Ha! I
thought I had asked that same question a while back, but I couldn't find it! My bad.
