Hi!
I've been looking for a synth lead that sounds like this - http://www.box.net/shared/2sx5gnoauz - but the world of synthesizers is brand new to me, and I keep getting lost in all the buttons. Is it possible to make a lead sound like this on the NS2?
Thanks,
Andreas

Re: Minimoog-like synth lead?
Hello Andreas,
Welcome!
I only have the previous model "Nord Stage Ex" the patches aren't compatible with the NS2.
I think I can get you started twisting the right knobs for this Lead sound.
Start with a SAW wave "between TRI and SQUARE, to left of FM"
Set the voice mode to "MONO" and Glide knob to about 2 (these are important to lead-type sounds)
Remove any Detune from the oscillators.
Set the Filter for LP24 and KB-Track
Set the Filter Frequency at 932HZ
Set the Resonance to 8 (this, combined with the Gide, gives it that distinctive plaintive vocal character)
Set the Amp attack to 8ms, Amp Decay at Max, Amp Release at Min.
No Filter modulation. Except for Frequency control by Mod Wheel via Morph.
This is how mine ended up sounding:
Cheers, Hanon

I just hope that it helps Andreas create the patch, or possibly an NS2 owner get started in the right direction to be able to upload it for all to use.
I'm starting to feel a bit left out since I don't own an NS2 and users are requesting patches for it more, and the NSEx and NSC less.
I suppose I should upload the NSEx version just in case someone finds it useful. Cheers, Hanon

Re: Minimoog-like synth lead?
I feel the same and I still have the NS classic. And since long I want to add the resonance to my pianos, so go figure!
