They're up!
In large, medium AND small - excellent! Really nice of them to keep supporting us Nord Stage Classic users...
The new OS for Stage Classic is not ready yet, so I'm hoping to get some reviews from EX users... Keep 'em coming!

Could someone program a midi-sequence and record the output from the different samples? Would be awesome.

Let me refrase that - this is already done on the nord website - I was wondering if someone could make a comparison of the different sizes, for example on the Grand Lady.

I must say - from listening to the clips on Clavias website, the Grand Lady sounds impressive - I wonder how it will sound in a rock band setting.
Also, the Bösendorfer upright sounds extremely nice - most impressive. I still think i prefer the Blueswede when it comes to rock, but I will definitly check it out.

Finally! Thanks!
Good Idea with the MIDI files. I was thinking of doing something similar, just need a clear and nice MIDI file (AFAIK ther is a website somewhere that collects samples from all kind of E Pianos to make them comparable using a MIDI file which is really appropriate, but cannot find it anymore.)
In any case, if someone (better player then myself... ;-) ) could do a kind of classical exact nice MIDI file, I would run it through the different Pianos.
EDIT: Just listened through all the demos and they are now really helpful!! Great Job!
Regarding the different sizes, would indeed be great to (at least for one or two of the Grands) to see how the sounds differ. From what they say, the differences concern only the Pedal down String Resonance samples, i.e., they should sound identical on the Stage CLassic or with the RES feature turned off, but then, the large difference in file size seems to indicate that there are maybe more differences... we'll see and hear.

They never had Clavias though.
I'm already downloading, but will not be able to try them on the Stage for some days!

Thanks Pabl, that was exactly what I meant - hard to find on google!
(EDIT: It uses the Pianotest1.mid MIDI File (attached to this post) to be played back and then audio recorded, as in the Digital Piano Shootout on
http://purgatorycreek.com/English/Digit ... otout.html.)
After two hours with the new sounds I am really happy about the Lady Grand and the two new EPs! Not much a user of Uprights though. But the BrightTines is really a nice one I shall use.
But indeed the size is tough for the Stage owners (and even mor for the Classic Stages!). So I compared the sound of the three different sizes for the Lady Grand and have not yet played around enough to come up wih a conclusion. But what I did, I took the MIDI file from the webpage Pabl is referring to and recorded it using the three different samples.
Unfortunately, I have at home only my Laptop and do not harddisk record here so I apologize for the bad quality of the record. I just used the Lady Grand Piano, through a Yamaha Mixer directly into the Input of my NOtebook using Asio4all drivers. On the Stage, I activated the String Resonance (which is deactivated only at the SMALL sample set by default), no EQ, no compression, no FX, plus I had the MONO button turned on since only have proper cables etc. at the rehearsal room. So again sorry for that.
So in general it is for sure only a lower bound estimate for the differences!!
Here are the three recordings, see if you hear a difference! #1 is the largest, #3 the smallest sample (without string resonance).

Great job!
I'm not hearing that much of a difference... Are my ears right? Good news for me, I guess...
