EPiano 2 MKI Close Ideal - Sound

Hi!

Maybe you spoke about this earlier but I didn't find any solution to this problem. The sound of this E piano from C5 to C6 (if C4 is the middle C) is quiet and thin, comparing to other notes on the keyboard. Maybe isn't thin, maybe it is just quiet, but I tried so many times to compensate this by EQ, without any good results. Is there a way Nord can solve this issue and make it eg. like MkV Close Ideal, or any other, where all notes are even. This is very strange, because in solo situation piano just fall down when I try to play something.

Thanks!

Best regards,

Goran

I have exactly the same problem with this sound, which i like very much in the other octaves - ist's so warm and smooth... But soloing in this octave is almost impossible with this sound. This is the reason, why i hope very very much for a new Rhodes sample from Clavia! But it seems, they are to busy with all their "Optigans" and "Orchestrons" at the time... :-(
I try to improve the sound by cranking the EQ-Highs up and for soloing push the twin amp button, so it's al little louder but not enough... the sound is getting very harsh and thin then...

This is also my opinion, the sound below is great, but on the upper side it seems to me there is only one sample, so it is static and thin, very poor, you will see, even if you play softer or harder the sound remain the same, only the volume change.

How about creating a split with the Mark V close in the upper octaves for a quick fix?

I think this could be a very good idea! Have you heard it, Clavia? ;-)

Any new rumours about the new Rhodes sample(s) there? ;-)

My problem with the Mark V sample ist, that it sounds more like a Wurly than a Rhodes in a band mix...
By the way, i'm getting really disappointed about Clavia: No new Rhodes and Wurly Samples, no information, nothing!

Me too. I might despair if the next new load of samples on the Nord website is for yet another 80s era synth... People who like Nords are generally much more interested in electromechnical keyboard sounds, and don't want to sound like Duran Duran! Here's hoping for some new Rhodes and Wurli by Christmas!

Hello all,
My guess would be that the Optigan, OB8, JP4 samples were a simple lot to make, being as they are .nsmp instead of .npno
I would also suppose that they are from a different team than the piano samples.
I wouldn't be surprised if we got some new EPiano samples around Christmas time.
But I am just guessing here....
Cheers, Hanon
