I'd suggest for most Mother's Finest synth work you won't need much more than a sawtooth oscillator, unison, and a low pass filter with mod-wheel controlled cutoff - season your resonance to taste. He often uses two oscillators one or two octaves apart, and pitch bend set to an octave. We have Baby Love in our set list at the moment, fun song!
