Hello, I'm looking for the Rhodes sound for the song Street Life. Which piano and which programming to use for NS3?
Thank you

Agreed that it is amazing. Ep 2 and the recommended settings and now I can't stop playing this patch!
I'm very happy and close with
EP2
Chorus1 Rate 4.2, Amount 8.5
Delay Tempo 150ms, Feedback 0, mix 2
Stage1 reverb at 2.5
Thanks !
Fred
And this is why I love the Stage 3.cookie wrote:@Elias, amazing !

Wow! That's impressing, you were pretty close not being by the NS3. That works for me.Elias wrote:I'll take this as a challenge. I'm not at my Stage 3 so these are blind (deaf?) suggestions.
If you are talking about the song bu The Crusaders, try this:
1. Choose "EP2" maybe?
2. Chorus 1, Rate 3, Amount 10
3. Delay Time 2 o'clock (maybe?), Feedback around 0, Dry/Wet 2
4. Reverb Stage 1 (bright?), Amount 3
Let me know how close this was?
edit: typos
It seems that you maybe mean different version of this song (you can find it on OST Jackie Brown) and there's pretty different sound - actually pretty clean Rhodes with no chorus and a bit boosted for solo. Original album version actually featuring chorus on rhodes (although solo also sounds clean for me). And by the way, both rhodes solos off both versions are great.WannitBBBad wrote:I love this Forum. Somehow some songs get by that I haven't heard over the years until brought up like this one. What a great Rhodes solo in this song! Away from my NS3 as well, I believe the hard attack sometimes heard will come out a little more with KB set to 1 or 2 while retaining some dynamics. Only being able to listen to it on my phone, the original Rhodes sounds pretty clean (no chorus), but the chorus effect did start to become popular around '79, especially the Roland CE-1 that also had a great preamp in it that was perfect for the Rhodes. Good luck.
