NL 2.x SysEx Dump failed

Failed to send one of those additional banks called Sound Cards 1-4 to my Nord Lead 1 2.x via Logic X
On the website, you write, the banks exist as MIDI and SysEx Files - but there are just the MIDI files!!
Otherwise I could use my reliable SysEx Librarian by Snoize.

Could I get the banks in the SysEx format?
Or what could I try else dumping the MIDI files?

thanks
Volkhard

Hi and welcome to NUF, this is a user forum not affiliated to Clavia so when you say "On the website, you write,... " I am afraid you could be confused about this, you'd rather say "they (Nord) write" ;)

Anyway, I see the files you mean in NL2 downloads on Nord website https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... ory-sounds and in fact they are only .mid, however you should be able to transfer them using any MIDI file player or a DAW, as also written there Most commercial sequencer/DAW software will accept and play the SMF format.

So you should be able to do it using Logic or even Mainstage via an External Channel strip

PS: if you don't have a Logic/Ms or in general a DAW and want something simple and free, you may try this one https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ns-midi-p ... 1514225088

Also to note: Snoize's Sysex Librarian can load and play .mid files with sysex data, too. And (I think) can convert / save them to .syx also.

Good point, I think I even did it some time ago but was not 100% sure, thanks for confirming.

https://www.snoize.com/sysexlibrarian/ documentation and release history in fact says

Added a "save as .syx" feature, just like the existing "save as standard MIDI file". Now you can convert .mid to .syx!
