Hey sorry I'm sure this has come up but I couldn't find the thread.

I just got a 2nd-hand NS3. I love it already (great upgrade from my NS2), but I can't manage to save a program.

When I press Save (or Save As), the screen flickers in a bug-like manner for a split second and nothing happens. The program is not saved.

Is this a bug ? Is there a workaround ?

I found a line in the 'known bugs' spreadsheet about saving after copypasting... My case is not that: I'm not copying or pasting anything. I simply select a program, change a thing or two in it (like piano model and piano EQ), press Save, and it doesn't save.

The OS is v2.22. Memory Protection in the System config menu (Shift+1) is of course off. When I turn it on, the memory protection error appears as I try to save, indicating that the Save button works, hardware-wise.

First I would try to upgrade to latest OS version

Standard procedure is 1) hitting SAVE, 2) getting prompt if you really want to save, 3) hitting SAVE again.

I never had the issue you have. It possibly occurs because of an electric malfunction (cable, button), but I don't see a bug being related to the problem - I'd think it's a hardware problem. To get a button work correctly again could start with pressing it a few times..
