Stage 2ex sounds to Stage4

hello nice people,

I have a nord stage 2ex 73 and at some point I'm planning to upgrade to either stage 3 or stage 4 (mainly due to the lack of memory on my 2ex that's bothering me a little too much nowadays).

The problem is that for one of my bands I have created about 40 patches that I really don't wanna re-create on the new instrument. Do you know if those sounds, once backed up, can be uploaded and used on the stage 3 or 4??

Unfortunately the answer is "NO", see the point Can I transfer my Programs across different Nord models? in this site FAQ section nord-user-faq-static

You can only reuse the Samples (.npno or .nsmp) but not the Programs, those you need to rebuild, however thanks to a NUF forumer there is an app which lets you analyze NS2 files to see the parameters (unless you keep your NS2 when you get the new NS3/4 so you can check them directly): https://github.com/Chris55/ns3-program-viewer

As I have Stage 2ex and 3, I could possibily create the NS3 programs based on the Stage 2.
